Norwegian Getaway Cruise Reviews - Q&A

3.9
We are leaving on the Getaway on May 11. Our flight gets in at 8:30 so we should be at the port by 10 at the latest. The earliest time to check in is 12:30. How strict are they about the time and what is there to do for two and a half hours if we have to wait?

Tip, for someone who has used NCL air in the past, you can request a day or 2 deviation and you do not need too book a hotel thru them to do it. You still at the mercy of NCL's policies, has always been cheaper than booking it yourself.Cruise lines are getting tighter on arrival times and have made folks wait. So I would take your time at the airport. If you are using NCL transfers, you will wait for other passengers.

It is not a rookie mistake. The airfare is part of our ticket through ncl so I am not worried about coming in the same day. When we don’t go through ncl we DO come in a day early.

At 10 the previous guests should still be disembarking so I’d say you’ll be waiting if you really are able to get from plane to port that quickly.
