Food was top notch, the bistro was hands down the best all around. Buffets were always open, food was always good and they gave a ton of variety

Again, just so much to do. Every hour of every day until midnight they had activities. We did wine, mojito and margaritas tastings. Karaoke every night. Art shows and more. Really

Shows were all phenomenal. Gary the piano man did billy Joel and Elton John shows daily. The reggae team was awesome and did bob market and great mixes of classic songs. Keith the comedian show was hysterical.

This no never do. But I give them 5 plus stars. I have never seen the attention to detail that I saw on the Gem. The staff was insanely on point with everything. Every time I left the room and came back the room looked brand new. Never waiting for drinks. Always said hello as you passed them and by the end they somehow remembered everyone’s name. I was extremely impressed with the service and staff on the ship. Top notch

It’s was impeccably clean. Never any garbage anywhere I saw. You could barely put your drink down before it was taken away. Attention to detail was impressive
Cabin / Stateroom

Now this is not a knock on the cleaning. I just wasn’t used to tight quarters like this. Was my first cruise so I learned as I went. I would def get a bigger room next time. BUT, as far as the service and cleanliness, it was top notch. Room was re cleaned every time we left and came. back. Our guy always said hello and good morning and remembered our names. All the staff on our floor we’re very pleasant and had great attitudes. I don’t think I ever saw someone not smiling on their Team.
Ship tip
It was our first cruise, so I was learning from all veterans. Just find someone who has done it before, everyone seemed happy to give pointers
The locals were all very happy to have tourist back. Everything was in order. We did the beach excursion and the sunset catamaran as well as the light house. The locals were so helpful. Def go explore. It’s such a beautiful island
The Gem was our first cruise ship as well. The experience we had on her hooked us on cruising. It is just the right size for first timers and the staff was phenomenal!
