Review summary

I loved the itinerary but bad weather made us unable to stop in two places. Was disappointed but will have to try again to get to PEI. Always happy to be cruising, will say not my worst cruise but close to it due to ship. I did love entertainment.

Fine...but my girlfriend who’s not doing a review met a lady not very nice.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Fair.... get you to take the liquor package and not enough staff in bars to serve you. They give you the drink and pay for a water. That’s ridiculous. Food terrible in one of their main dining rooms other one was comp Different same food but wait staff understood English and were prompt and food was much and hot!

Onboard Activities

I'm curious about what you didn't like about the design of the ship. Of the 7+ cruise ships I've been on I consider the GEM the BEST and smartest designed ship of them all. Never a wait for an elevator, stairs exactly where I need them, My room always a short walk to where ever I want to be, The casino, tucked away so I never have to smell the tobacco, and best of all, the ship absorbs the 2500 guests and there never seems to be a crowd. Always a seat available for the shows, and never a wait to sit down for dinner. I have never had an issue getting a drink, and if I'm at a bar for more than 3 hours I'll hand the server a $2 bill and tell him please never let this glass get empty. Works like a charm.
