Review summary

Overall great time and beautiful island. Recommend.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was a breeze very quick and painless but I had registered everything prior. Person told us we only needed keycard getting on and off which turn out not to be true as we needed government issued ID as well.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food overall wasn’t as good as previous experience most of the time it was not that hot. The garden cafe seemed never to be open when it was supposed to be and for sure opened less longer than on the Dawn. Specialty restaurants of which we did four were OK Le Bistro being the best again. We decided to choose Cagney’s after having a very bad experience there last time. It was just really OK and not worth the $170 that it cost. The coffee on the ship overall was much better than on the Dawn everywhere including in the main restaurants.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The bands everywhere were pretty poor a lot of people couldn’t believe that it wasn’t Karaoke and actually a band playing frequently. There was one guy on a piano in the champagne bar that was really outstanding though. The Beatles band also were especially poor I can’t believe they didn’t even know the words.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Only giving three stars as the biggest attraction Blazing boots was awful, this may not be fair as it isn’t something that I would like anyway. All the other entertaining in the main theater was very good. Managed to stay up for the last late night comedy and he was worth seeing.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Overall a little slower than the last experience but all of the staff were very nice pleasant. Our steward was lovely as well saw her on first day and asked for ice in the room and she put it in every day, one time used it all in the morning and it was filled again.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship design overall is much the same as the Dawn but it has some things just a little better. For one example the spinnaker lounge is just beautiful, lovely wrap round viewing and wonderful bar staff, the best on the ship. The great outdoors, aft is a wonderful place to relax. The ship was noticeably cleaner than the Dawn but the Dawn was clean as well, overall the outside decks seemed even cleaner and could not find any issues with cleanliness.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
It is small and wish the toilet had maybe two inches more width but it was what I expected. Otherwise the room is fine the shower is big enough the sink fine and everything worked well. Nice thing in the room was having two available outlets instead of one. Room is quite and actually had a window you could see out of, last time it wasn’t obstructed but was so dirty you couldn’t see out of it.

Ship tip

The coffee machine before you get to the great outdoors did have the best coffee on the ship. Learnt this from another traveler and they were correct.

Ports of call

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

5 out of 5
Spent a great time met nice people and enjoyed the sun and sand. Such a nice place but very pricey.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We didn’t have any rush to get a connection or anything so decided to have breakfast before leaving and let the people that needed to leave early a chance. Asked out steward when we have to actually be out of our room and she told us 9:00 am so went and had breakfast, got back at the room and left by 9:00 am and just walked straight off the ship.
