A lot less pushing of drinks/booze, on-board shops being set up in the atrium, and gambling. The Cruise Director's jokes and comments can be a bit offensive to some.

Review summary

Nothing is 100 percent perfect, but NCL can improve on many fronts. Music was TOO LOUD, and after many cruises, one can see where NCL is cutting costs (and services are reflected). NCL should ask how can they can be 2 steps better than Royal Carribean (free style or family type cruise) without becoming another HAL or Celebrity (higher end or more luxury cruises)

Ship experiences

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
A lot more infomercials being billed as activities. It seems most activites, IMHO, have an upcharge.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
the Startdust theater band's sound is phenominal! Singes and Dancers were Spectacular. On deck and lounge bands a bit too LOUD!

Children's Programs

No kids!

Service and Staff

Never met our room steward. Miss the towel animals at the end of the day. Everyone else deserve high praise. they just could not do enough for us. and always with a smile. any attitude was left behind.

Ship Quality

5 Stars - what else can I say?

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The Cabin was wonderful. All I have to do now is convince my wife to pack and bring a lot less.

Ship tip

A wonderful experience at a wonderful price but watch the up-charges. Is NCL taking a hint from the airlines?

Ports of call

Boston, Massachusetts Did not visit port

I live here!

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

Royal Navy Dockyard has become a tourist attraction. I would rather dock in Hamilton or St. Georges (the jewel class ships should fit). Add one more day in port. I know it's all about the cost but this is why NCL has low prices. you get what you pay for. We sailed HAL last year, left on Saturday, Arrived on Monday noon, left thursday noon, arrived home Saturday. docked in Hamilton, walked off the boat, crossed the street and BANG, we're there. So much more in available from Hamilton and St. Georges.
