Review summary

This was our first cruise in a long time. It took some time and consideration to chose the correct cabin, restaurants and excursions but it was well worth it. Norwegian cruise lines and the crew of the Gem made it a memorable experience.

Really didn't know what to expect here but the disembarkation went very smoothly. We were worried about finding our luggage but it was a snap. We were out of the ship and customs very quickly.

The correct cabin is so important to set the bottom line of a cruise. A great cabincan make some unpleasant episodes tolerable, while a bad cabin exacerbates every mole hill into a mountain.
