The food quality is lower each year. This year the Gem discontinued the once a cruise lobster dinner. The cruise before they discontinued the Rack of Lamb and Escargot.  It seems that they want to encourage you to go to their Speciality Restaurants at an additional price and according to their on board advertisement the Gratuity of $12.00 per day per person is not included in their Specialty Restaurants WHY?   If that is the case then the $12.00 per person per day should not be Mandatory since you are not using the services in the main dining room or buffet

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
Cabin / Stateroom
Service and Staff
Very friendly staff
Entertainment
Very good entertainment
Onboard Activities
Destinations and Excursions
Excursions on board are very expensive. We were disappointed that Tortolo was taken off the cruise but happy that they compensated us $100.00 for the inconvience
San Juan, Puerto Rico St Thomas USVI was great and included on this cruise
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
Basseterre, St. Kitts
Tortola, British Virgin Islands Discontinued never got there

Tip

The prices in the ship store such as cigarettes and liquor are much higher then in ports. They discontinued most smoking areas on the ship including on the open deck where one side of the ship should be for smokers. They should have trays in the buffet as it is difficult to carry your food to tabl
