A wonderful cruise

Sail Date: September 18, 2011

Traveled As: Singles/Friends

Room Type: Suite

The Gem has become my favorite ship of the fleet.

Pros: The ship was clean and easy to navigate. The choices of activities on board the ship were plentiful. The cruise director was absolutely wonderfull. There were plenty of lounges and chairs among the decks that you did not need to get up early to

Cons: Did not like the high bathtub shower in my room-much rather would just like a large shower

Recommends Norwegian Gem? Yes!

Food and Dining
Service was exceptional in all locations--main dining rooms are Good; Visited the Italina and the Asian Fusion and would recommend them both. The buffet can get crowded when looking for a seat so recommend going towards back of ship
Ship Quality
Extremely clean and well kept
Cabin / Stateroom
Room steward was very nice and extremely attentive; towel anifmals are always cute, turndowns were nice. Just didn't like the high tub and would prefer large shower instead. Miss the lotion samples, soap bars and night chocolates from days of past
Service and Staff
Surprized that so many try to learn and remember your name. Loved the little touches like meeting us back onto the ship and on the pool deck with frozen wash cloths and lemon ice
Entertainment
Great variety of activities and music in the lounges. Absolutely loved the hypnotist. The cruise director was extremely entertaining.
King's Wharf, Bermuda
So convenient to everything on the island. Breezed through the shops and I liked them. Would recommend the glass blowing and the pottery for unique gifts. Loved the Carol Little shop at the port
Don't Miss: Take the free trolley around the port and determine what you want to do
