Efficient boarding procedure but nobody on board to welcome you and point you towards your stateroom. After unpacking I went to put our suitcases under the bed and found a man's sock - not exactly a good start to "housekeeping"! (I reported it and the stateroom was later vacuumed properly...) Room was a decent size and bathroom was fantastic. Other "pluses":... Food in La Bistro and La Cucina, Hostesses in Manhattan Room, bar staff in Tobacco Road and Carlos the pianist.  "Minuses"... Bar staff in O'Sheehan's, Atrium, The District and Skyline (not at all friendly!), too many kids out of control, and food in Moderno (waitress was very good though!)... Next time a smaller ship and adults only if possible...

We had an amazing time! Very happy with the service and attention provided. Would highly recommend the unlimited beverage package along with the ultimate dining packing. Food was excellent. Thank you Claudia, Guest Services Manager for ensuring that our trip was nothing better than EXCEPTIONAL! Would definitely travel on NCL again in the near future! Room Steward was awesome. Greeted me every morning with my name and a smile. Would recommend this ship to anyone. The specialty restaurants were delicious and WOW to Teppanyaki- the chefs were funny!

The cruise was awesome.  Lots of activities and things to do.  And lots of time to relax.  I did find the ship to large and spent too much time wandering.  The only complaints I have is that the bathrooms in the cabin had inadequate ventilation..  Water was very hot and showers tended to leave room very steamy.  The adult pool had no stairs, just the ladder which can be an issue for some people.  And the hot tub/jacuzzi constantly had kids filling it.  Food was good and lots of it. 

All in all I had a great time as well as my family did. 

We did not have a very good experience on the Escape. My husband got food poisoning and we did not get to go into St. Thomas which was where we really wanted to go. We also do not like the fact that most of the restaurants are pay as you go. Our food at Cagney's Steakhouse was not very good, the hostess did tell us she would take it off our bill but we had to keep requesting that it be removed. It was finally removed after my husband got food poisoning. We also had to complain about a charge for water to be removed several times. The only good experience we had was at the Food Republic. The manager and staff went out of their way to show us a great time. The food there was excellent!!!!! We will not be cruising with Norwegian again. Entertainment was sub-par as well.

One of the bigger ships we've been on but easy to get around with plenty of elevators and great amenities with a very nice crew which was friendly and caring.

The entertainment was excellent especially  Million Dollar Quartet and the Brat Pack dinner show. Plenty of activities and things to do.

NCL not for me    freestyle dinning , not personal and when you order multiply apps or entree's  they bring them all at once because they have no staging area to store plates . 110 nights of cruises to date  NO MORE  NCL

Awesome Ship and great cruise.  Very similar to the Getaway but a little bigger.  Only negative was the congested elevators.  Almost always had to wait and many times they are full.  There is only 2 banks of 8 elevators each.  Felt bad for people in scooters or wheel chairs.  This was our 11th cruise and second in a row on NCL.  We really like the freestyle concept and have a deposit down on a third.  We have been to St. Thomas and Nassau before, but Tortola was new.  Not much at this new port unless you are doing an excursion.  We weren't planning a cruise but came across a $379 deal for an inside room and couldn't turn down such an awesome deal on a ship that was only 5 weeks old!  The shows were really good, especially the Million Dollar Quartet.  80's themed Dinner show was good too, but dinner was crummy, especially if you don't like seafood.  The Spice H2O area in the back of the ship was really cool and night time music, but the DJ was annoying!    Food was awesome in specialty restaurants and main dining as well.  Crew was all very friendly!   Next time we take the kids!!!

The new Escape is just gorgeous. Many things to do and comfortable cabins. Food was excellent. We really liked the Manhattan Room. It was disappointing that many  shows charged for attending. Now with the specialty restaurants and the cost for the shows, it seems that you aren't getting as much as before for the cost of the cabin. All things considered, still had a wonderful time.

The room was lacking in some services. Had to ask for towels, room not vacuumed, otherwise ok. Food in Margaritaville was charged for, when most information stated complimentary. Too many people, and not enough staff. The ship itself was very nice , with quite a few new things as opposed to Getaway. Our experience on 2 cruises on Getaway was better. Shows were too hard to reserve, unless you books a long time prior to the cruise.

Pleasantly surprised with the size and storage place in the new Escape bathrooms. Beds are very comfortable also. Staff is almost fanatic in making sure hands are clean at eating stations. 

Enough chairs at pool side. Food tasteful and well presented.

Only thing lacking was not enough things to do on sea days. Also our cabin steward never stopped by to introduce himself/herself, so we never even met the person. Very unusual to say the least.

Nice ship. The food mostly salty. Entertainment not to standard. Very good customer Service. On time schedule. Very good trip. Nice weather during the whole trip.

The Escape truly lived up to its name for my wife and I.  Food was above average in most venues, including Taste and Savor, the Garden buffet, Cagneys and Bayamo.  Entertainment was some of the best we have had on a cruise ship.  Staff was very good.

A few skips would have been The Brat Pack show and LaCucina.

The food was great and the service in restaurants OK sometimes excellent.

Enjoyed all the activities on the 17 and 18th floors.  Didn't think there were enough competitions--as least not like on other Norwegian cruises.  Was really upset that there were not more work out session for which there was not a charge.

Enjoyed the trivia and other games held in the Atrium.  

Wish you had a section on the bulletin that was shows on tonight because we missed some not knowing they were shows.

I participated in song recognition game and the team I was on won but we did not get any prizes for this.  I was totally surprised by this.  

I like the ship but prefer the smaller ones except for the activities--rope course, slides, mini golf, etc 

Thought crew did most everything they could to make it a fun experience..

From the room service to the ship entertainment to the staff's entertainment, almost everything about the cruise was perfect. 

Entertainment - There was something for everyone. So much so that on the same pool deck where they were playing contemporary dance music, you'd see a senior citizen dancing. 

Food - This was the only thing that could have used significant improvement. Garden Cafe needs lots of improvements as far as selection goes. It seems most times you barely could put a plate together because of the types of foods they were serving. Most things just didnt go together. That and the taste left much to be desired. Other restaurants like O'Sheehans, Taste & Savor were up to par and even above.

Staff - From our room steward, Gede, to the staff throughout the ship, everyone was amazingly helpful, friendly and professional. 

Ports - St Thomas, Tortola and Nassau. All were really good places to stop and spend a few hours site-seeing. 

***HELPFUL HINTS - If you are wanting to save some money, you might want to take shore excursions on your own and not through cruises . com or any other website. You can find taxi's, excursions and other stuff outside of the websites and significantly lower prices (half price or less). 

The cruise was good.  Great shows and things to do on the boat.  What could have made it better was the service.  All of the ships employees were very nice.  However, they were on a dead run the entire time to wait on/make up the rooms, etc.  The ship was understaffed and the level of service was lacking.

Norwegian Escape met our expectation she show her beauty as well as her spirit the staff was exceptional. I personally view this ship in the making in Pappenburg, Germany and I am very impressed with the final product it's amazing how in 17 months a ship goes from laying the kiled to a finished product then to be on this ship 4TH cruise out of Miami, Florida what a experience.

Wonderful cruise..beautiful ship..staff was more than accommodating and helpful also extremely polite and friendly..food was amazing in both complimentary and specialty restaurants..entertainment was first rate especially Million Dollar Quartet..cruise director Julie was fun as well as very organized and vibrant..plenty of on board activities..ever a dull moment..our stateroom was exceptionally clean and with the help of Joel our steward it was always well taken care of.  I would cruise again tomorrow if I could and would most definitely cruise with Norwegian again.

This was our first cruise and we loved it! The ship was beautiful and the food was excellent! We went to the Million Dollar Quartet, After Midnight, and the comedy shows and loved them all!

The NCL staff were very courteous and provided whatever type of service that was required of them.  The ship is large and holds a lot of people, but you never feel crowded.  You would never know there were as many people on board as there were.  Food wasn't exceptional, but it was very good considering all the meals for all the people they had to prepare/provide.

This ship is first class all the way and the service was just as I expected from a Norwegian crew. I was pleasantly surprised by the cabin, it was a family balcony and we never felt cramped or crowded. We have cruised on other and found this ship to be the right size, the only place there congestion was at the elevators which was very common on most ships. The entertainment was very good but I would like to see more live bands in some bars. Overall I have to rate this ship and crew a 10 plus
