Review summary

We had a drink package, but had to pay extra for a coffee latte. NOW...the specialty coffee drinks cost half of what wine/liquor costs. They should be in the drink package. And Gelato was extra..Really!

We liked the pool and Hot tub, but we never were able to get a chair, We had to go up to Sundeck to get a chair.

I'm not crazy about the closet butting up to the sofa. No room to move around for clothes. We thought the shower was great and our steward was very nice.

Ship tip

It's crowded. No one dresses for dinner , so don't bother with dress pants and shirts for men.

I agree with your use of "lackluster" to describe the entertainment. It wasn't bad, it just literally lacked luster. Choir of Man is most enjoyed and gushed over by people who are not used to seeing live singers or haven't had access to real broadway shows. It was quaint and entertaining but not the "i fell out of my seat because i was so blown away" quality some attach to it. The real shame is the live singers at the supper club who don't have a band behind them. The singers there were really talented but the "show" falls short when its only karaoke tracks with them. Also hate the upcharge for Gelato, cupcakes, lattes and all of the other stuff we get for free on Royal Caribbean. We won't stray again. We did like Norwegian now 8-10 years ago though.

NCL is for casual cruising as advertised, not formal Dress up dining is optional for those who enjoy it in main dining room and want to bring more luggage. We have enjoyed every NCL cruise (12+) for years. Other lines offer more formal dining style.

Choir of Man was "lackluster"?? Wow, wonder what you think is good! Best show at sea right now. If you missed the comedy shows, that's on you.

Make sure you read details before you book. If you upgrade to the premium plus beverage package it does include just about everything, including speciality coffees.

You just have to plan on them (the cruise line) to try to nickel and dime you. If you know that before you start you should be good to go. Plan ahead. Thanks for sharing
