Review summary

Really great time with good friends, amazing food, amazing entertainment and exceptional staff everywhere. There is definitely something for everyone to do young and old.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
I loved the Staff they were over the top friendly, kind and efficient

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food, Bars and Entertainment were great. I thought the adult pool was small, kid pool was really big. I did not like that you had to go through the buffet dining to get to the pool and track. Track was small and not separate from where everyone else is walking. On Royal Caribbean they had 3 lane rubber track on top of ship for length around liked that significantly more.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There is absolutely something for everyone, trivia, singing, entertainment/shows, ping pong, corn hole, painting, wine tasting, shopping, etc

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We saw Choir of Men and The Uptown Boys...AMAZING!!! Piano guy in the bar was great!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The BEST. last day we ate at Savor and this couple behind us were extremely rude and mean to the server because her bacon was not crispy enough. Not once but three times. SHAME ON HER! He handled her with such grace and kindness (which she absolutely did not deserve). I told him we truly appreciated him, how hard he was working and helping everyone. That speaks volumes to the waiters professionalism to handle ridiculously rude people. I let the lady know that kindness is free!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Extremely clean, shout out to our steward Mark he was amazing, knew our name is passing starting day 1. I did not like design of walking through buffet to get to pool or the running track.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very nice, good size, balcony is a must especially with the rough seas we experienced.

Ship tip

Buy the drink package, you get starbucks with it too.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

5 out of 5

Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic Did not visit port

Due to winds being higher than the captain would be able to steer the ship. Not safe to stop, the storm was really bad all night

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
Megans Bay is a must, saw several turtles which was very exciting!

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

Disembarkation

Glad you had a great time, we loved our cruise on the Escape. Starbucks is only included with the upgraded drinks package that includes bottles of wine, champagne etc, not the drinks package you get as part of free at sea. You can buy a Starbucks package on its own if you’re not bothered about the extra alcohol. You can also now upgrade from regular free at sea to free at sea plus, to include the upgraded drinks package with Starbucks, extra speciality dining, unlimited WiFi and a few other benefits. Lots of packages available depending on what you want. Starbucks is a must for me as the free NCL coffee has got to be among the worst I’ve ever tasted!
