Review summary

I paid for the OPEN BAR Package but I didn't get it. They told me that bc my 2nd passenger was 15 (not 21) I LOST that!! WHAT?? Norwegian put me on the phone with and the person I spoke to said I should have read the fine print. NO- shouldn't allow that to be a selection if you tell the age of who is traveling (which you have to disclose before you select the package you want). When I did go back and read the fine print it says "this is good for up to 8 people. If passengers 3-8 are under 21 this doesn't allow for soda package" However it doesn't say if passenger 2 is under 21! SOOOO that's a grey area and I just wish or Norwegian helped me with my bar package. Instead I had to pay another $1000 for the bar package plus $100 for the soda package-which just wasn't right.

wish we could have been there longer!

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

You have to take a tender in so it takes a long time to get to the island if you aren't the first few tenders.

There was a search and rescue in Miami's port so we were stuck outside of Miami all day. They finally allowed beverages and opened the pools for us, which was great. Was a drag to be waiting outside of port all day but that wasn't Norwegians fault

I'm not sure why you were confused either, I was just on ncl and my husband was second passenger but he had to cancel at last min, so I added my son's friend to replace (19), and ncl immediately told us I would still get the alcohol package and he would get soda, on all of my documents it says it, it is very clear.

If the 2nd passenger is under 21 they get the soda package, that’s very clear in the terms on their website, there is no grey area. It would also have been on your booking info. My daughter, who is under 21, has been 2nd passenger multiple times with no issues. If they really didn’t give you what you initially booked then you have it in black and white to argue your point. There is no way I would have just paid all that money then complained afterwards!

Always read the fine print. That’s where the important information usually is.
