Review summary

This cruise on Norwegian Escape was completely full, which we were prepared for as it was a school vacation week for many. There were a lot of families and large groups on board. We were fortunate enough to have excellent weather and we had a good time with our good friends.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Embarkation was fine. We didn't really have to wait in line as we got to the port around 1:30 p.m.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was really good--in Garden Cafe, main dining rooms, Cagney's, and Teppanyaki.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Took a 70's line dance class that was fun. Honestly, we enjoyed just hanging out at Vibe beach club and relaxing. Our activities included a lot of eating and drinking!

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Choir of Man was outstanding! There was not as much entertainment as on previous NCL cruises. We had a difficult time making reservations by the time we got on the ship.

Children's Programs

Don't have young children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The crew were friendly, hospitable,, and very helpful.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
It's a fairly big ship. The common areas were clean and well maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Basic balcony cabin that was perfect for two people. The bed was comfortable. We enjoyed our balcony.

Ship tip

If you are looking for a quiet dinner, The Manhatten Room is NOT the place to go. Taste or Savor are smaller and a little quieter. Manhattan room had many large and VERY LOUD parties.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
No issues getting off the ship. We had late afternoon flight, so chose to be among last group called for disembarkation. Had breakfast in MDR, relaxed a little while, and then time to get off the ship. There was a little bit of a line, but it moved quickly. No issues at all. They get a lot of people off the ship in a short period of time.
