Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We did a 7 day cruise. We ate 4 dinners at speciality restaurants, Cagneys, Moderno, LaCucina and Ocean Bleu. Bit disappointed that adding lobster, or even ordering surf and turf now has an upcharge, but the food was great. We did one dinner at the Garden Cafe Buffet , one at the Venetian and one at Manhattan. Of the complimentary dining, Manhattan was the nicest. We did O'sheehans for breakfast once or twice, the rest of our breakfasts and lunches were at the buffet.

Try the mini beers. Not beer but oh so good

Cagney's Steakhouse

It's Cagneys. Not to be missed.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Because sailing was at less than full capacity there were no lines for any venue. The comedians were good, the Atrium band not so much. It was interesting to listen to what may have been an eastern European female lead singer trying to do a tribute to the Beatles. Imagine any Beatles song sung with with an accent. We left early and went to the casino.

Service and Staff

We had an issue with noise outside our cabin door. The crew went above and beyond trying to make us happy. Unfortunately they couldn't resolve the noise, they tried very hard to accommodate us and make us feel like they cared.

Ship Quality

Only issue was there were only two sets of elevators. None midship. There were two outside smoking areas. That was really nice.

Cabin / Stateroom

The cabin itself was great. Perfect location. Midship, sandwiched between two other decks with cabins. The problem was in the passageway- it sounded like major issues with some kind of plumbing. The noise was loud and constant. It started on day 3 of a 7 day cruise. They couldn't seem to fix it, so they offered us to move cabins. That seemed like a lot of work to repack, move, unpack etc. So ear plugs here we come. They were not happy we wouldn't move, so offered us a 2nd cabin to use as we wanted. That was a nice offer, but not necessary either. Finally they called and told us they were putting a $50 credit on our room.

Ship tip

Ask for "waterfront " seating at Cagneys. Try and schedule your dinner for a day your leaving a port and about sunset. You'll love it.
