Review summary

I feel that NCL should bring back the extra meal on a seven day cruise for specialty dining going from to three as they had in the past. I also do not like the up charges in some of the specialty restaurants. Some of the ports are a bit lacking. There are only so many T-shirts that one came by. Another thing I would recommend is that there are more offers given to platinum plus guests. This tier receives almost the same benefits as the tier below it.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Thoroughly enjoyed experience. Negatives are removal of one speciality restaurant experience from the dining package, upcharges on certain appetizers.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Gym- good for my needs. Jogging track too small and crowded.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Comedians were enjoyable. Big stage show was fair and a bit too long. Casino was enjoyable. Jacky Tang was a very good, personal entertainment director.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff was exceptional. Personnel could not have been more accommodating. This would be a huge reason for our return.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
We were just constant cleaning in public areas and Jess were asked to watch every time they went to the buffet. Good idea and felt very safe. Our steward was wonderful accommodating many of our needs.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Overall comfort was good. Furnishing including couch could be updated. Lighting was somewhat limited for make up application.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

4 out of 5
Easy Port for us to travel to.

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

3 out of 5
Nice island but not much to do other than swim or use the zip line.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

3 out of 5
Hard to rate. We stayed mainly in the port area due to fear of Covid. A lot of T-shirt shops but not much else.

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

1 out of 5
Nothing to do at this port. Not worth our time. If you’re not an excursion, it doesn’t offer too much.

Nassau, Bahamas

3 out of 5
A little too crowded walking through the main area. We were there about an hour and then we return to the ship. If you’re not taking an excursion, it offers a lot of T-shirt shops. Next time we make visit Atlantis.

We are platinum plus also. It may take time for them to bring back all the perks. We just got off the Encore, crew was great. I'm just happy to be cruising and willing to be patient while the ports catch up.

Appreciate your detailed review. Sorry this cruise didn’t meet your expectations. Glad you enjoyed your some parts, however.

I try not to get worked up about much but upcharges in specialty restaurants pushes me in that direction. seems like a lobster tail should be built into the price at Cagneys. .. but not a huge deal... thanks for the review

Thanks for the review. Cruising after Covid means that some things have changed and things that were previously provided for free will now have a charge. With a little research, there is almost always something worthwhile to do in every port, but you usually have to be willing to pay for a tour or an excursion.
