Review summary

Good cruise and maybe go on this ship again sooner

Embarkation

Big ship with only 1 pool! Very busy and crowded mostly the drink package people. On first day afternoon @ 2pm the pool was closed because some one after drinking to much was sick in the pool. Pool opened the next day. Many passengers did have the drink package but we did not see any real drunk passengers. Getting on the ship was smooth except for the lack of a hole to be punched on the card to allow for hanging on a lanyard. Had to go to the service desk to get hole punched. Need to get the cruise line to start using wrist bands for cabin access and purchases.

Food and Dining

Best breakfast restaurant is O Sheehans deck 7 with servers taking care of the passengers. Estella one of the manager crew seating passengers was great and very friendly. Enjoyed talking to her every morning. Manhattan dinning room is nice and very big. Enjoyed the music presented by the music group. We were able to dance during the course of our meals. Bistro is still a nice restaurant and the menus items are very good. Service is great and you feel very good to be able to enjoy the meal. The other specialty restaurant with the variety of meats is good but the salad bar is always good and you tend to overeat from the salad bar. Still worth eating there. Cafe Buffets is still a buffet but not always good. To much having to look for the food you want. We did not eat in any other restaurant but they all have the same menus. want.and

Onboard Activities

Activities on board were standard and pool side activities which are boring and the same as always. DRINK PACKAGE passengers crowd the pool area and the bar area. Music is very LOUD and hard to enjoy the atmosphere. Need another pool! Need to find quieter space which should be provided to passengers wanting this area.

Entertainment

Entertainment was good with the CHOIRMAN offering free beer before their show. GREAT PERK! AFTERMIDNIGHT group was nice but too long and boring. Four singers were great and worth seeing maybe twice. Supper club was good venue but FOOD is not real good. You do not have to eat in this venue but go to listen to the groups. Groups were good in this venue. Making reservations is ok but not always needed.

Service and Staff

Staff were friendly and hard working Room stewards do a great job. Waiters were great and will provide new choices if your first choice is not good.

Ship Quality

Ship is big but if you simply walk from bow to stern on the 6-7-8 decks you can access all needed areas. Ship is clean but casino CONTINUES to allow SMOKING!!! Next day morning the smell is still there and ruins your morning. STOP THE CASINO SMOKING!!

Cabin / Stateroom

Inside cabins are very small and lack adequate areas for clothing storage such as shorts tops socks etc. Cabin was clean daily by the steward and bed made daily with always fresh towels. Ask steward for daily ice.
