Review summary

Another fun NCL cruise with fantastic entertainment. Embarkation and disembarkation were very smooth.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Love the NCL main dining rooms and specialty restaurants. Always high quality and wonderful variety

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Wide variety of activities offered. I usually choose to walk, get a massage, read and enjoy the entertainment

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Two wonderful stage shows: Choir of Man (went twice!) and After Midnight. Great comedy offerings as well. I also enjoyed various singers and bands around the ship's venues

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Consistent, high-quality customer service from NCL staff - as usual

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Cleanliness - Excellent. Layout/Design: I am not a fan of the design of the large NCL ship Atriums. While pretty, all of the loudest events are held there. It negatively impacts (in my opinion) the customer service areas situated around it (Guest services, Cruise Next, Shore Excursions, etc) - it is difficult to hear and it is always crowded. Also negatively impacted by noise is the only 24/7 restaurant on the deck above (opens to the atrium below). I prefer the design of the smaller ships where the loud activities (game shows, trivia, bingo, etc) are held is closed spaces, like the Spinnaker Lounge. The Supper Club and Margaritaville Bar appear underused on the large ships - these activities COULD be scheduled there. That way, guests can choose to be around the noise by entering a closed venue rather than being exposed to it when walking anywhere near the Atrium. Quieter activities held in the Atrium are great. Unfortunately, NCL no longer offers Caribbean itineraries on their smaller ships. A bummer for those of us that like the calmer small ships.

Cabin / Stateroom

Very nice, typical balcony. Plenty of storage - very good and creative use of space. Bathroom design is good.

Ship tip

It is large...Walk and Explore!

Ports of call

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

3 out of 5
The only reason for LOW ranking: 1) Port is under construction and 2) due to the weather, my beach shore excursion was canceled.

Harvest Caye, Belize

4 out of 5
Beautiful and noticed some improvement from the last tine I was here. However, since it is an NCL private island, I wish the beverage package was honored at Harvest Caye and food as well. I took the Glass Bottom Boat excursion. It was good but would have been better with calmer waters. I recognize that this is not the fault of anyone - I would try it another time.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

5 out of 5
I continue to see improvements with this port - most welcome!! It used to be one of my least favorite. I did the Mayan Wellness Retreat - highly recommend!! Will do this again

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
Unfortunately, had to tender. Again, no fault of anyone, just that there were many ships in port. Did Island Exploration and Chocolate excursion. Excellent signage to find the meeting place and the tour was very good. Excellent guide, wonderful information with a tour of Cozumel island along with stops to learn about Chocolate and a bee sanctuary

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Well done, considering the number of passengers
