Review summary

I loved this ship and I was really impressed by how Norwegian catered to solo cruisers. I would definitely recommend this ship and NCL.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
It was a bit slow because only one gang way was in service, the second one was broken. But I got to the pier at roughly 1015 and was on board in two hours, so it wasn't too bad. I was in Boarding Group 35.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
I'm not a foodie, but I enjoyed everything I ate and have no complaints. The bars were great. My favorites were The District Brewhouse, It's 5 O'clock Somewhere( Waterfront) and Atrium Bar. The bartenders were great.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
I loved the Thermal Day Spa. The ropes course was a lot of fun and was pretty much the highest point on the ship. I loved the two zip line parts and walking the plank.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Go see Justin Golan in The District Brewhouse. He is very funny and an excellent pianist. Just don't bring your kids and avoid if you are easily offended because it is very adult content and nobody in the audience is safe from his jokes.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
I was pleased with the service. My room stewart was great and always very friendly. My favorite bartenders were Rodney, Aaron, and Govind.

Ship Quality

The pool area must be a circus on a nice pool day, but it was a November cruise , so the pool deck was never to crowded. The waterslides were good and I really liked the ropes course. It was better than expected. The solo cruisers section was my really well designed and I think they hit a home run here. The thing I loved most was the Thermal Day Spa. It was well with the money.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
I loved my solo cabin. It was the perfect size of a single traveler. The bed was larger than expected and very comfortable. There was plenty of storage space with two sliding door cabinets and a few drawers and shelves. The shower was good but I would caution a larger traveler that they might find it too small. The toilet is in it's own closet. I'd recommend leaving the door open if you don't like tight spaces. Again, a large traveler may find the toilet a tight fit as well.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Disembarkation was great. I only had a small suit case so I had it with me and not collected the previous night. The line to get off was long and snaked through O' sheehans and the Casino, but it moved along nicely and wasn't a hastle. Once of the ship, getting through customs couldn't have been easier and I only stopped moving briefly for the facial recognition scanner.
