Review summary

Excellent cruise to a beautiful destination. We would sail the Escape again. Friendly and consistent service and overall happy atmosphere. Escape does have limited deck space for the size of ship. We did have thermal suite pass. Excellent experience and would do that again. Surprised though at how busy it was at all open hours. People also were not quiet and did not have spa etiquette. That is not the ships problem though. We did encounter several obnoxious and rude cruisers everywhere on this sailing. Norwegian is still our favorite and looking forward to another sailing.

Embarkation

Manhattan cruise port is not the smoothest process due to small terminal. This isnt the cruise lines fault though.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main dining rooms excellent. Buffet has gone downhill in quality and atmosphere compared to prior cruises.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Activities great. Disappointed that despite great weather, the "largest ropes course at sea" rarely opperated in its entirety and 2 of the zip lines including thr one that goes over the side of the ship were never operating. Several of the ropes were seriously frayed with the metal wiring showing.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Best norwegian ship for consistent quality shows.

Ship Quality

Ship was clean. Some areas showing wear and tear on carpeting and other public spaces. Overall though Norwegian does a fantastic job in keeping their ships updated.
