Review summary

Like I said in comments it’s a beautiful ship. What I don’t like is paying more and getting less. The shows are good but one you have to pay for and their excuses is you get dinner. Well I should have an option to see it for free and no dinner. Adult pool area grotto is nice to cool off but would rather a pool.

Onboard Activities

Adult pool was too deep 6 ft 8inches so everyone stays on the edge. The grotto is nice to cool off but could have had a pool with 6 ft depth.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
I don’t think I should be nickel and dimes on an expensive ship. ALL ENTERTAINMENT SHOULD BE INCLUDED.....some shows were and extra cost and you had to go to box office to get tickets. Some shows we book on app or on wall monitors we were bumped from show or our show times and days were changed to ones we couldn’t attend

Service and Staff

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Washie washie....equal sickie sickie...my wife and I both got colds and it’s either from washie washie all the time or drinking from glasses because THERE ARE NO MORE STRAWS ALLOWED ON SHIPS

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
We did the place a bid to upgrade cabin.. placed bid of $600 and soooooo not worth it. Rooms are state of the art but still not big enough for 4. I did like that you could put suitcases under the bed. I did not like that there was liquor in the refrigerator that if drank is not part of the drink package...go figure that one out....we had to remove liquor to put our waters in to keep cold .....

Ship tip

It’s nice if you want to relax and don’t have kids..food was excellent..

Ports of call

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

4 out of 5
Very nice and safe...very expensive if you want to buy something.....remember they need to import everything....Movado watch her was $388 there $700....Beach area there is close and nice but rocky. Museum is nice and governor house is a must see

@cruisinwrights. Keep us informed after your cruise. Would be appreciated. @clclip4xs. Thanks. I’ll look into that.

Just bring a bag of disposable straws and each day put the used one in another zip lock bag to bring home and use a new one each day. Doesn't take up much room at all. Or Amazon has a set of bamboo biodegradable straws with a cleaning stick for about $10 bucks. Pick your preference

They are transferring over to the paper straws not 100% sure when that will be. I will find out in 12 days.

About the no straw thing. I thought about bringing a travel mug (or something like that) but I’ll have to bring dish soap to clean it. Otherwise it’s 😖. I though about bringing a reusable straw. Same problem. It’s just that some drinks, like a mudslide, it’s easier to drink with a straw.

We saw For the Record for free in the theater but you could also pay to see it in the dinner theater setting. I think there was one or two other shows you can see the same way.

Charlou you are right about you get what you pay for. I like the options NCL has vs RCCL and Carnival but that's my preference. When you book any inclusive trip to wherever it may be Disney, Hawaii etc there are always hidden extra $$ that's why you do your homework! Target and Walmart sell reusable plastic cups with straws that we use that are great.

clclip4xs    6 years ago

Yes you can bring your own. But please just don't toss them in the trash. Either reuse them or take them home with you.

Charlou    6 years ago

You got what you paid for. NCL is less expensive then other cruise line. But they offer free at sea promotions. So, you can’t have everything. If you want free entertainment every night, maybe go with RCCL or DCL but your cruise will cost more. And you’re saying that no straws are allowed on the ship. Can we bring our own???

Soon straws will be eliminated in all ships because too many end up in the sea they sell reusable straws at target if you have to have them The cold you got was probably from all of the kids lol
