Great Cruise! I was disappointed in the NextCruise deposit deal. I was under the impression that I would receive on board credit if I purchased while on board. They did match my $250.00 deposits, so I paid $500.00 for 4 credits worth $1000.00. Good deal but I expected on board credit. Now I have 2 deposits to use in the next four years. Looking back I should have only purchased 1 deposit, there was no incentive to buy all at the same time. I could have just purchased the next deposit on the next cruise. Now I feel locked into NCL and I do enjoy other cruise lines as well.

The complimentary dining was very good.
Onboard Activities

Sea days were crowded and some of the staff were not friendly, especially the ropes course but most were very helpful and friendly. We purchased the Thermal Spa package because there were so many children on board. I loved it however I was told that only 120 passes are sold and everyday there were new people who may have purchased day passes. I realize Haven and Spa suites have access also, but I found the Spa crowded and most times we could only find one or no heated stone chairs. That was disappointing.
Entertainment

Enjoyed Choir of Men, After Midnight, Brat Pack, Dueling Pianos and Escape the Big Top! We waited in Stand by line for Escape the Big Top because every time we tried to sign up for it the Box Office was closed.

Ship Quality

Someone was always cleaning or painting somewhere. The ship was very clean. Aisles were always clear, I've been on other cruises were dishes and food were left outside the cabins all day this was not the case on Escape.
How can you take DOUBLE your money and expect onboard credit???? Forget the double option and take the onboard credit. Or use your credits as part payments instead of just deposits....
What? My experience has been when it is offered, each $250 deposit is awarded $100 in OBC. NCL matches each deposit toward future cruises. So she should have received $200 in OBC, not $500. And $1000 toward future cruise booking. I think she would have known if she received OBC and she expressly said she did not.
Broz: the OBC was applied to your account...... you actually paid $1,000 for the 4 and received $500 in OBC. Also, the certificates are transferable and you can sell them on eBay or to friends. They just have to have a Latitude number, you call NCL and they transfer from you to them. Very easy.
