I agree. They should change sheets if they are full of blood or when asked. But not daily. You went to the beach and your still full of sand or you're really sweaty? Stop by the outdoor showers next to the pools on the ship. You'll clean the sand. Or take a shower in your stateroom before doing anything else. I would never lay in a bed all sweaty or full of sands. Shower first. I'm sure, on your daily life, you don't change sheets every day, of every bed, at home. The cabin stewarts are there to clean our staterooms. But cleanliness starts with every guests. You put stuff on the bed? That's why there's a comforter. Yes we pay to have a service and if you think you don't get what you pay for? Talk to the hotel manager and bring up the issue with them. Hope your next cruise goes better.

First all yes, they should change the sheets, especially when asked!! You are coming in daily from ports, hanging out in the pool, sweating all day etc. Its disgusting to think you wouldn't want that. If you have children who have gotten stuff on their bed. If you have brought sand into ur room. Why wouldnt you want your bedding changed? Plus this is the service you pay for, you pay gratuities for. Again, in regards to cleaning... I myself and my family dont expect stuff perfect, but again we pay for a service to have things cleaned. We can clean the toilet as much as we want, but the whole point of cleaning is to remove not only the nastiness but the germs to keep them from spreading, the same which we change the sheets. Do u have any idea how many germs are carried back onto the ships from each stop they make??? Perfect example as to why cleaning is important. You can sanitize ur hands all u want, but germs come in all everything. So im sorry but ur comments are beyond ridiculous and if u want to live in filth at home, by all means. But many of us, try our best to be respectful to our cruise staff, but also have enough common sense to know that if a towel smelll musty, if the sheets are dirty and full of sand, or the bathroom smells like a dump station.. these areas need some attention. So please before you get on here and make some ignorant posts, three to be exact, reread this back to urself several time before hitting the post button. And if u want to hold ur sons weiner and teach him to aim better, lol by all means. Their little boys.. it happens. When my little boys peed on the seat, well surprise surprise I cleaned the seat. lol.

Oh, and with regards to the original posting.... All I can say about "3 times he didn't lift the seat" .... The old saying goes: "If you sprinkle when you tinkle, be a sweety and wipe the seaty"! Thus, teach those kids how to aim better!

Guys & Dolls....I get it! You are on vacation and paying good money to receive service! B-U-T, if you do not expect yourself to change your own sheets every day; change your own towels everyday; or, make your own bed PERFECT everyday! Why do you feel it is ok to expect your steward!?!? Is it because you are above them and entitled!? Or, just because you expect them to do as you do!?

qcsoccer4fun    7 years ago

If I may be so bold to suggest... Do any of you change your bed-sheets on a daily basis in your own home!? Do you use a bath towel one singular time in your own home!? Do you make the bed with precision...in your own home!? Do you vacuum and pick-up each & every piece of hair/lint/furrball....in your own home!?!?!?

Yes I can and is a very nice gesture. With that said, some stewards dont get u an opportunity to do anything before they start being dicks... these people chose this job and I was raised to always do a job the best to my abilities no matter what I receive from it. Most people pre- pay their gratuities which should also be considered.

Isn't it customary to tip the steward when you arrive? Maybe this is old school but I've always heard this will ensure you have a nice clean room to return to each day. I don't know about y'all but I've worked in the cleaning industry and none of it is glamorous, so anything to brighten your steward's day might be helpfu.:)

I was in cabin 9134 for this sail , I agree stewards were the topic off the day everyday in the lounge areas , I had mine replaced bad attitude, 2nd was ok seem to avoid you if he could. Nice ship...

I'm sorry you're expectations weren't met. I hope you still got to enjoy some beautiful ports and the rest of the ship. Better luck next time.

You had a week on that ship and it’s the only thing you can comment about? Would’ve liked more info.
