We had a fantastic time and enjoyed our vacation a lot. This was our second time on this cruise and we were much more relaxed about having to do everything. The specialty restaurants are fantastic and the Supper club and Wine lovers show are worth the price.
Embarkation

Good. We arrived early and were let on the ship about 11:30.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

The food is fantastic, everything you have always heard about a cruise is true. We enjoyed both the dining rooms and the specialty restaurant's. The food was delicious and there is so much of it.
Onboard Activities

We enjoy the spice H2O outdoor area for adults. There is a water area called the grotto to get out of the sun and cool down in the water. The bar is always busy with tropical drinks. My teenage sons enjoyed the Entourage, the teen club a lot this year. It was packed and they played games and made friends. The pools and fitness center are to small for that many people. We always love going to the clubs, but every night was Salsa night, so we didn't get as much dance time.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
We had seen the shows on our last cruise and they hadn't been updated, but we enjoyed the supper club and the wine lovers luncheon, both were a lot of fun and worth the extra we paid for them. We missed out by not making our comedy club reservation early and the ships system was not working.
Children's Programs

The Entourage was a great place for our sons, they really had a good time.
Service and Staff

Professional and hard working, but they seemed a little understaffed and overbooked. I admire the employees who work cruise after cruise and still smile as if your vacation is the only one.
Ship Quality

Ship is very large and full of passengers and common areas get crowded early. Get to shows in the Atrium at least 45 minutes before show if you want a seat. We found a very quiet area outside the 5 o'clock somewhere bar, with sofas and soft music. The ship is always clean and well maintained.
Cabin / Stateroom

We received an upgrade right before sailing, so we were in a different spot from last year. We did not know that the additional space was used mostly for a bath tub we could never fit in, but the larger bathroom was nice. We really enjoy our balcony and it is a perfect place to get away from the crowds for me time.
Ship tip
Expect areas of the ship to always be crowded and plan accordingly. Make your reservations early and prepay for as much of your trip as you can. There is so much to do on board read through your planner and find things you want to do.
No excursion, but we gave ourselves an extra day of travel and it paid off. We were very excited about Miami, but it rained all two days there. There was plenty to look around and see and restaurants to eat and drink at. The Hampton Inn was well located near public transportation, Uber was everywhere and the way to go.
We took the excursion to Abi beach and outside the truck ride there, it was beautiful. The water is not quiet as clear as some beaches, but it wasn't crowded and lunch was good, drink strong and staff friendly.
We had a wonderful time in Tortola because we prearranged transport to the beach. The ride was about 30 minutes over very hilly roads, but our driver and guide Sam Henry was fantastic and professional. We found a beach the was not crowded with a reef and little beer and soda bar. It was paradise and a much needed retreat from the ship.
We booked our excursion with cruise 411 and even though the boat was a little late, it was a great time. Crew was friendly and we went to a reef way out beyond the crowds. The snorkeling was fantastic and we even saw a sting ray. We returned and went shopping in Nassau at the straw market and local stores one block yup from ship dock.
Miami does this all the time and it showed. I like how Norwegian let us pick our own time to disembark. We were off the ship by 9:30 and took Uber to Fort Lauderdale.
Did it seem over crowded ?? I was on the Gem last April and I know it's a smaller ship, first time on a mega ship this April . A little nervous about it being crazy crowded
Happy to read you had a great cruise. Do you still have to pay for supper club or is there a free show? Cause I keep reading misleading infos. Also, what specialty restaurants have you tried ? TIA
