Review summary

Not doing Norwegian again. Nickel and dime you for everything, over crowded. Big disappointment . Can't even play billiards without a cost, air hockey.

Cagney Steakhouse was the best. Moderno's was very good as well. Main dining rooms were good also.

Pools were a joke. Kids pool was always closed due to someone having an accident, poop/vomit. Then you had to use the adults only pool which was so over crowded you could barely move. Terrible set up. The ropes course was closed during sea days due to wind so they had it opened on port days. Granddaughter did enjoy that. Slides were okay . Fitness center no longer had a sauna you could use. Now you had to pay 59.00 a day for sauna and snow room use.

Didn't do the western caribbean. Went to St. Maarten, St. Thomas and Nassau, Bahamas. Ports were ok. Nassau was the worst. Never would go again.

yes your right. I'd rather be around drunk adults then u attended kids. I don't want to be trapped on a boat with them either. I know it's me!! I totally hate cruises!! My bad. I didn't do research . I just thought I would love it because so many people are raving about it.

@ flyinstead I've never had a bad cruise, I believe a vacation/cruise is what you make of it. Maybe cruising just isn't for you, you might want to try the all inclusive adult only venues. Really do your research before booking, some all inclusive adult onlys are PARTY PARTY PARTY, sometimes drunks can be more annoying the unattended children. I hope you find your vacation happy place.

You should. I would show you you can have some peace and fun on a cruise without breaking the bank. 😜but honestly. You're entitled to your opinion and I'm sorry you had such a bad experience. Wish you better for your next vacation.

Someone is having a bad day. 😂. You don't want kids on a cruise, take your vacation during off season or with a more upscale cruise line. Water is free, just have to ask for a glass of water to any waiters or bartenders. Activities? There's water slides, pools, karaoke, wine tasting, shows, bands playing music everywhere, running track, gym, spa....and I keep going on like this for a while. Some people won't ever be happy or content whatever. So, I'll keep going on cruises because I LOVE it, no matter what you say. And hopefully, on my vacation, I'll never come across someone as negative as you.

you must be real easy to please. I joined this app before the cruise and read all of everyone's race reviews and I didn't see what you all saw at all. I saw my card being charged constantly for things and had to keep correcting it at guest services, ratio of 3 kids to every 1 adult, a maxed out capacity which didn't accommodate comfortably. I bought the drink package and they wanna charge me for a stinking bottle of water??

The ones raving are the ones who gave been and actually enjoyed it. I've been on three and loved every minute of all of them. Carnival Fantasy was much smaller than Norwegian Getaway but even then I still had fun.

I'm complaining on this app because people deserve to know what they're getting themselves into. all they hear is everyone raving thst cruises are a vacation of a lifetime! it's like a cruise cult u all belong to. or maybe your standards are low? I expected more

your just a herd of cattle dodging germs all week eating mediocre food and if ur not a big drinker, then u better enjoy ping pong and shuffle board cause there's nothing really else going on. unless ofcourse you enjoy sitting around the pool fighting for a chair and swimming in dirty water

Cruises are a great way to get a glimpse of places. And if you end up really loving one city, well, you book another vacation to really enjoy the place. But what did you expect? When you're on a cruise, you only spend a couple of hours in a port. Again, it all comes down to research. I don't have the luxury of spending my money on vacation without some research to make sure it's the right vacation for me and that I will enjoy it. But that's me.

I don't have kids and I love to go on cruises. I've been on 2 RC cruises, Disney and 2 NCL cruises. Planned a 3rd and 4th NCL cruise. For me, NCL is the best. Love the freestyle cruising. Maybe go on a more upscale cruise line like Holland or P&O. Less kids. And if you would've done a little bit of research, you would've been able to know all of that before and make a better decision. That way, you would've had a better experience and not complain so much on this app.

I know it must be very expensive to run a ship, but atleast build a ship to meet required space for the 4000 people that are cruising in order to be comfortable and enjoy everything.

you are right! I just got off breakaway and I was so disappointed. the ship is booked with 4000 people , more then half being kids unattended, and not enough room to accommodate everyone. pool is a joke, can't even get a chair to sit on, elevators jammed up. my 1st and last cruise. glad I paid for the haven or I would have stayed inside my room the whole time til we got to bermuda. I went to spa and they were so sneaky trying to up sell everything, and when you don't agree their nasty. I believe the only people who are on here raving about how amazing cruises are either work for the cruise line, or have children that they bring on this cruise to let run like wild animals while parents sit at the bars and drink all day. if anyone newbies are curious about cruising and you don't have kids, this cruise line is not for you. if you think I'm lying then go ahead and waste your money. better yet just Google what I'm saying and you will find everything I say to be the truth.

I didn't get nickel and dimed at all on Norwegian. I paid gratuities and that was it. I chose to stick with what was included. Any ship charges extra for photos, specialty dining and coffee shops, and ice cream stores. Not sure how anyone gets nickel and dimed. I spent no extra money at all except for two photos and gratuities which I'm more than willing to do.
