I've never had a problem on NCL, always wonderful cruising!!

One thing we have to keep in mind is that all cruise line are owned by a handful of companies. Which means, a company owns a couple of cruise line. Example? Carnival and NCL owned by the same. So. You might not wanna cruise NCL again but be careful cause the next cruise you'll book, you might end up giving your money to the same company. 😜

They aren't in the business of cheap vacations...it's a money making business. It's our choice to see which cruise line we prefer. NCL has a clientele that shouldn't be upset over $5 air hockey. It's ok if you prefer another cruise line. NCL does that to keep out riff raff.

i just looked at consumer affairs website and ncl got less than 2 stars one of the lowest ratings you can look for yourself

I've been on Royal and carnival and they stick a camera in your face when you are at dinner too. it's a cruise ship thing. They are all looking to make money. when you go out to a bar or an arcade you pay for the games. same thing on a cruise ship.

Love ncl and the Escape is our favorite ship. Can't wait for our next cruise in December. Always have a great time.

Continental breakfast is free. But anything else, it's 7,95$ per order. But take into consideration that an order can be multiple things. Like: 2 salads, 2 pasta dishes, 2 chicken dishes, 2 deserts. Only 7,95$ for all that. Or you can go to the buffet or O'Sheaans and bring back some food to your cabin. That way, it's free.

Room service charge ever time?

weezer1957    7 years ago

they didn't charge to play pool on carnival ncl is all about making money not about providing a nice experience ive been on 9 cruises with deterrent cruise lines and ncl is worst with the nickel and dime

Charlou    7 years ago

I guess it all comes down to is what kind of vacation you want. Either you focus on the negatives and have the worst time ever. Or maybe go to guest service and tell them, in a polite and calm way, your concerns and your bad experiences and then move on. Find the positives. Because your "stuck" on that ship for a week anyway. So might as well find some positives. Otherwise, you'll have the worst and longest vacation ever.

when you're at sea its always seems to be windy

weezer1957    7 years ago

yes the sauna was always separate it was by the gym but not in the spa you coud always go to the sauna and ues any time

Charlou    7 years ago

Ropes course closed due to wind: security reasons. NCL doesn't control the wind. Elevators were slow? Take the stairs. You burn calories which means you can treat yourself with a second desert. Kids pool closed because of an accident? Of course they will close it. SECURITY. Have to pay for bottled water? Here's a tip. Ask for a glass of water. It's free. You have to pay for air hockey and bowling? If you can't spend a couple of bucks on those, don't play. Nobody's forcing you. There's a lot more to do that doesn't cost money. Maybe look into booking a P&O cruise. More upscale.

I must have just missed it.

terriesanchez    7 years ago

Sorry to hear that, but you specifically named the sauna not being included. My question still stands... was it included on your other NCL cruises?

weezer1957    7 years ago

not the spa that is separate from the sauna they put the sauna in the spa area so you have to pay the

weezer1957    7 years ago

over crowded coudl get a chair by pools pool deck was so crowded you could not walk with out tripping over a chair or bumping into some one elevators were slow and crowded the ropes were closed often because of wind kids pool closed often do to accidents hallways going to room so narrow you had to turn side ways to let some byeto many it would take to long to list all the negatives

terriesanchez    7 years ago

So the spa was included in your other NCL cruises? It's never been included on any of my cruises unless you either had a spa room or purchased a spa pass.
