Review summary

This was our second time on the Escape because we liked it so much the first time. Staying in the Haven adds a big touch of luxury and relaxation. Having a place you can go to escape the noise and the crowds without having to sit in your room is a huge plus for us.

Although service was a little slow in Moderno the food was great. All of the other restaurants were awesome. All very accommodating and great food.

When traveling with a few girls the 2 bedroom suite is awesome! Not as much for the extra room or beds but the extra bathroom was priceless.

Disembarkation

Disembarking is so much easier when you stay in the Haven and bypass all of the lines except for customs. They do need to have a place for people to wait for rides outside of customs that is climate controlled. We were traveling with my elderly in-laws and our ride was late so they had to sit out in the heat for almost an hour which was very hard on them. We asked if we could let them set inside before you get to the security screening and were told absolutely not. I understand that this is no fault of the cruise line but would be a great improvement.

I love the Escape. Going on my second cruise on that ship in 6 months. Wish I could afford the Haven. Maybe one day.

Which is why the Haven exists. A little extra luxury, pampering, and cost. But a value to many.
