Review summary

Beautiful ship and that is about it. Due to the size of the ship, you must book majority of entertainment days prior. No daily, lets go to the (theater) show tonight...Then the daily entertainment like, "deal or no deal" and other little games were held in the Atrium that COULD NOT handle the crowd who wanted to properly view and play. Constant problems with the TV in the room, to include purchased movies stopping and having to restart the movie (and call guest services for credit- for restarting). Lacking in "needed items" in the gift shop and the prices exceed 4 times a normal price. Gift shops were impersonal and lacking "draw appeal". Food on the buffet was scattered about, some salad here and the rest of items for salads over here.... Go to full service dining for "hot food, good service"  Daily handout in the room often had errors.  The pub (24/7) WAS NOT that.  Often waited in line for it to "open" so watch the daily hand out, it had the times also printed though typically 15 mins off.  So many people that a handicap person could easily be pushed/shoved by inconsiderate passengers.  PS, nice size casino, but no electronic table games for handicap person to play comfortably (like roulette, which allows 8 people to play with out manually having to place chips for every play). ALSO, VERY POOR SERVICE at PORT OF MIAMI FOR handicapped people needing a wheelchair. We could not get one UNTIL we stood in line 30 mins to get into the building (policy of Port of Miami). Very hard on my Parkinson husband who had problem with only short term walking abilities.  Was told by NCL booking agent "just request one when you get to port".

OK, friendly. Left same wine glass in cabin for 3 days... otherwise very nice man.

Ship tip

Don't trust all info on daily handout is correct. Plan entertainment ahead of time.

Extra prayers for you and your husband. I know how tough it can be as a caregiver. God bless and best wishes.

Wow when I took my mom we informed airport and ship of her handicap and they both always had a wheelchair waiting for her and a person to wheel her.

Mega ships I'm sure are difficult for special needs people. Lots of space to cover. If you want to continue traveling with your spouse it might be wise to purchase a lightweight wheelchair to keep. People are all about themselves and where they are going on ship. They don't pay attention to those with walkers or wheelchair. Don't let that stop you from enjoying life. My brother has lewy body Parkinsons...it's tough

I didn't even know they had a gift shop. If you were speaking about O'Sheehans, you will wait on line depending on what time you go. We never had a real issue except on Prime Rib night. The buffet is big, but both sides mimic the other. It's a ship casino, so to have an electronic table, would be more of a space issue. My niece has mobility issues as well. We had great service at the port and we did request a wheelchair beforehand.
