Review summary

We enjoyed the ship.  The layout was very nice and it was fairly easy to navigate from one area of the ship to the next.  We all liked the addition of a brewery, but did not pay the extra $$$for the Waterfront or the any other restaurant that was not covered in our dining package. Embarkation and disembarkation quite well organized.

COMPLAINT:  THE NOISE LEVEL WAS UNBELIEVABLE.   We were invited to a meet and greet with the Captain and staff and WE COULD NOT CARRY ON A CONVERSATION because the music was SO LOUD.  We left sadly disappointed that we did not get to converse with each other or the staff.  We were interested in the "Free Money" campaign, but were not about to yell to get the information. The ATRIUM music was SO LOUD that it was difficult to have a family meal in the early evening at O'Sheeans.  A restaurant the we enjoy very much. There is plenty of research that indicates that even a short amount of high decible sounds causes injury to the ear drum.  I would suggest keeping the LOUD music to the clubs in the later evening.

Splash Academy was awesome...the 7 year old in our family loved going there.

Cabin / Stateroom

When we first arrived our cabin was not ready. So we joined the masses in the buffet area. This was awful. When our cabin was ready I noticed the glasses were dirty as if they had not been exchanged for clean ones (water and dirt were in them) I put them in the hall. Our TV did not work...fortunately we have some technical experience and figured out that it was not connected and WE were able to hook the cable up ourselves. We use the TV to get weather forecasts, ship time and to keep an eye on our ship account.

Ship tip

If you can, board early. Register kids for Splash Academy right away. Use a lanyard for room key. Have an extra credit type card for the room key light. (We used a Holiday Inn room key. )
