Review summary

This cruise was to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday! We had such a great time! It was extra special because a friend of his and my parents (as a surprise) joined us.

I booked a balcony room as a surprise for my husband and it was a definite hit! The room was wonderful! Very spacious - we loved being able to have fresh air any time we wanted!

We had an awesome time at the ports! We did the Turtle Cove snorkeling tour in St. Thomas. This tour was good - the only negative thing I can say about it is that the group was way too big. In Tortola we went on the canopy zipline tour. That was a lot of fun - it was my first time so I was not sure about it. The tour afterward was very nice as well. We had sufficient time both days to go shopping after our shore excursions.

Sea days are unfortunately not as fun for us. I would like to see more free activities such as movies or arts and crafts (not just origami). The cabin tv really needs more tv and movie channels (multiple sports and news channels but only one for tv and one for movies).

My husband and his friend really loved the water slides and the rope course on the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Dining options were overall good. It would have been nice to have more comfort food options in the main dining room.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
More free activities that don't involve spending money would be nice. It's nice to have the shopping talks, but there are a lot of other "activities" that revolve around buying jewelry too.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We were very pleased with the Brat Pack Live show. Very talented performers! I really liked the way they came out into the audience and weren't just on the main stage.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our stateroom steward was amazing! He was very efficient - we could leave for even a short amount of time and he had our room done before we got back.

Ship Quality

The ship was very beautiful and clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
This was our first balcony cabin and it was fabulous! We will most likely get at least a balcony cabin from now on! So refreshing to be able to open the slider any time you want! Sleeping to the sound of the ocean is very soothing!

Ship tip

Be patient when it comes to elevators.
