Review summary

We had a great time. Lots to do on the ship. This was our first NCL cruise and we would sail Epic and NCL again. We have been on four other cruise lines.

Embarkation

Good embarkation and quick. Only issue we had was there was no one around or signs showing where to drop off luggage. Other than that the process was good and quick. We had a 10am check in time and we were on ship with drinks at O’sheenan’s at 11:15

We really enjoyed the food and never went hungry.

Teppanyaki

Lots of delicious food. We really enjoyed the show and the food. They give you Olea tu of food. We enjoyed it all. Try the wasabi drink and the fruit for dessert.

O'Sheehans Neighborhood Bar and Grill

O’Sheehan’s - We ate at O’Sheehan’s for lunch most days. We tried the Reuben multiple times, burger, Fish and chips, nachos, wings and pretzel bites and we enjoyed them all. Our favorite was the reuben. Drinks and service were great. The bartender Jennadiy was exceptional. Our suggestion is to belly up to the bar to get the best service.

Garden Cafe

Always had good options and we never went hungry. Was good food and we sometimes ate dinner there because we enjoyed the options.

Cagney's Steakhouse

Food was very good. We had shrimp cocktail, oysters Rockefeller, lobster bisque, onion soup, filet, seafood platter, fries, zucchini, mushrooms and for dessert apple pie and OMG cheesecake. All very good

Shanghai's Chinese Restaurant

Shanghai - we enjoyed the food here, it is an ok option. Pot stickers were ok, would have been better if hot and calamari did not have much taste. Kung Pao Chciken , spicy udon seafood soup and combination fried rice were all good.

Onboard Activities

Water slide was fun. Best to try on a port day or soon after you get on ship for a port day. Fitness Center was good and lots of cardio equipment There is plenty to do to keep you entertained on the ship. If you can’t find something to do than that is in you.

Entertainment

Tons of activities for all interest. We really enjoyed The Beatles show. We went to all of their shows. Big lines so if you want to go to a show then get there 30-45 min early.

Service and Staff

Excellent staff. All helpful and friendly.

Ship Quality

Ship was clean and the design is fine. Like any ship it takes you time to find your way around the first day or two.

Cabin / Stateroom

Great cabin and view. Balcony room 8103. We did not have an issue with separate toilet and shower.

Ship tip

Book dinner reservation for specialty and complimentary as soon as possible. Get seats at bar in O’Sheehan’s for best service.

Walked around town and along water to the fort. Then headed to Barrachina for a piña colada (very good). We heard people liked drunken cookie, we plan to visit there next time in San Juan.

Walked around town. Stopped at Virgin’s Haven right outside the ship entrance and sat at bar next to ships. Cheyanne was a great bartender and we enjoyed chatting with the locals while enjoying a Bushwhacker.
