Review summary

We did b2b transatlantic/Mediterranean cruise in 2018. Embarcation was fine. We arrived at our assigned time. We had to sit with many other people until out boarding group was called which was about 40 minutes. Once aboard, we opted for lunch @ taste restaurant, rather then the buffet. The food was good, but the lunch menu didn't change for the entire 3 weeks we were aboard. Both mdr were nice and the food was and service was good. On a funny note, the pepper grinder broke and covered my ceasar salad with peppercorns. The maitre de replaced my salad and apologized several times. The next morning, there was a $25 credit placed on our account, compliments of the maitre de! The ship is hugh with numerous dining options. Don't forget the buffet in the H2O section ( rear ) of the ship by the movie screen/ pool. O Sheehan's great for any meal. Burgers, wings, sandwiches... The entertainment was above and beyond!! Book early and don't miss ANY of the shows. Our balcony room was beautiful and kept clean the entire voyage. All of our excursions were private companies. The water slides were great. The issue of arriving and departing from Barcelona on the same day was ok. We met in the theater and we're escorted off the ship to Spanish customs. From there after standing in line maybe 10 minutes we were allowed to reboard or venture into Barcelona. We stayed aboard since we had a week in Barcelona already planned after the cruise. Bottom line: Food was great, service was good, ship was beautiful. No complaints worth mentioning. Minor stuff. By the way, reserve your spot on the tenders ( if necessary ) as soon as you board and if you haven't reserved shows, do so as soon as you board .

A back to back trans-Atlantic and Med cruise sounds like a dream trip to me! My only problem would be keeping myself away from the shops and a hefty bar tab 🍻 Btw were you able to waive the $25 grinder fee? I’ve never heard of something like this. I would have been a bit miffed!
