NCL is a good cruise line if everything goes right with your cruise. If you have a problem they aren't good with the follow through. Fortunately they mostly get it right. Their food is good and entertainment is top notch. The Mediterranean Cruise itinerary is the best part.
Embarkation

Long lines in Barcelona but they moved fast.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
I think the food is always good in the main dining rooms (Manhattan Room and Taste). I've tried the specialty restaurants before but not this trip.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
They have a pretty fantastic water slide on the Epic. Also the thermal suite is top notch.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Cirque Dreams and Burn the Floor are all excellent.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Room stewards, bartenders and wait staff are all excellent and attentive.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
I saw no problems with cleanliness or maintenance. The design of the ship is not the best on the Epic. the bathrooms in the staterooms allow for no privacy. Their is no place indoors for a person with an inside room to just hang out and watch the ocean go by without eating or buying a drink. Yes, you can kind of do this in the buffet or library but there is no observation lounge or boardwalk area.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
I had a inside studio cabin. They are wonderful on the Epic, and the studio lounge is the best.
Ship tip
Purchase a thermal suite pass if you like hot tubs. It's hard to squeeze into the public hot tubs.
My favorite stop. You don't really need an excursion since you can walk right off the ship and into downtown. But if you do get an excursion don't miss Pompeii.
Spend the extra money to go to Rome, but only if you've never been there. It's a fantastic city but far away from the port. Either stay on the ship or go to somewhere nearby like Ostia Antica. I took the NCL Castles and Catacombs tour. The catacombs were cool but you don't even get to go inside Castel Gandolfo.
