The 11 day cruise was so much fun. I loved the extra 4 days. 7 day trips go by too quickly. This one was more relaxed and felt like a real vacation. The ports were great and we had so much fun.

Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The food was outstanding on this ship. I purchased an extra specialty dining, but reversed it because the main dining room food was so good! The choices were great and everything was well prepared.
Onboard Activities

The pool was WAY too hot on port days. It is shallow so it heats up too quickly. More like a hot tub. It is too bad they don't refresh it more often.
Entertainment

The shows were very good. I especially enjoyed the Beatles tribute band, Burn the Floor and Cirque Dreams. The vocalist Marco Romano was very good also.
Service and Staff

The staff was wonderful. Our waiter at dinner (Johnathan station 120) was the best. He actually remembered what I liked for an after dinner drink after only one time! All the servers and people working this cruise were friendly and helpful.
Ship Quality

I like the layout, but the ship could use a refurbishing. This is our second stay on the Epic. I prefer the Pearl and the Escape for design. The Epic is more understated and plain.

Ship tip
The main dining rooms are very good - better than going to the buffet.
I kayaked the lagoon. The lagoon beach is very nice. The drinks from the Laughing Bird are VERY expensive. Go directly to the bar to avoid the $2.50 deliver charge from the servers walking the beach. Our chair was right in front of the restaurant, but he charged us $9.00 for the cocktail $2.57 for delivery (not tip!). Waste of money. The drink was not good either. The zip line over the lagoon looked like a blast. The lagoon water was perfect!
This is the most annoying port area. The aggressive attitude of the people trying to get you to go on an excursion with them is unreal. Loud and almost scary. We didn't make it past the port because of the aggressive nature of the sellers.
We went to Barefoot Beach on a Shore Excursioneer pass $59 per person for the all inclusive day pass. I wouldn't do that again. Just get a taxi and ask to go to the beach and purchase a chair for the day $10 - drinks were reasonable and food not too expensive. The massage is $25 per hour. That I definitely would do again! I loved the beach massage. It was wonderful.
We went to Paradise Beach and that was excellent. The beach was nice, but too windy to enjoy so we stayed at the pool. The BEST pool ever. I loved it! The waiters are nice. The cost was $6.00 per person, but you have to spend $10 in food and beverage per person for the day so bottom line $32.00 - WELL worth it! The taxi to get there was about $16 each way. We shared so it was only 1/2 price on the return. I will definitely return to Paradise Beach the next time I am in Cozumel.
