Overall our cruise was good but I wouldn't say it was great. I loved our cruise director and if I could take that cruise director and the activities minus the shows and put them on a Royal Caribbean cruise that would be my perfect Cruise! I will probably not Cruise Norwegian again but I'm glad that I tried it and it was good but I wouldn't say it was fantastic. That is just me though :-)

Embarkation was a breeze! We got in our room at about 2pm I believe and got on the ship at around 1230.

We just ate at the complimentary dining rooms and the buffet. The main dining rooms always had a good selection and the food was always very good! However, some nights we had very slow service and some nights quick service. The buffet was not that great unfortunately. They did not have a very big selection of variety and that was disappointing.
Onboard Activities

Fitness center was very nice! Had a lot of variety with equipment and very friendly staff! The cruise director Andre was amazing! Very friendly and super entertaining!! We tried to go to all of the actives we could. We did the trivia, the dance classes, and the 80s night was amazing! Pools were very small, so I didn't even bother swimming.
Spa

Atmosphere was very relaxing and the massage therapist Josephine was outstanding! The spa was pretty pricey but that is to be expected on a cruise ship.
Entertainment

We saw everything but Priscilla Queen of the Desert...the shows were good but weren't super family friendly. DJs were great! Seem to read the crowd well and know exactly what to play next.

Our steward was amazing!! Jonjee was so friendly and helpful. Knew us by name from the start and always made our cabin flawless. He deserves a raise!

I didn't care for the layout off this ship. Very confusing and didn't flow real well. Felt very closed in everywhere. As far as cleanliness goes..it was very clean!
Cabin / Stateroom

Loved the cabin..minus the weird layout of the bathroom. We discovered that inside rooms have longer beds, which was nice! The beds were perfect and I slept like a rock. Our inside room was very spacious with a ton of storage!
Loved Falmouth! We did the cool blue hole + dunn river falls tour with Peate Taylor tours. Our tour guide Ainesworth was so awesome! On our drive to blue hole we learned so much about Jamacia and laughed a lot. Blue hole was so beautiful and we loved dunn river falls but it was pretty crowded and the only way to exit is through a little market and they were really pushy..only thing we didn't like on our tour.
It was beautiful but once you get off the port and into the main streets it's like a tourist trap. People hounding you to do their tours. We originally booked sting ray city but our tour was cancelled because the government shut it down because of rough waters. We had so many people lie to us on that island that we aren't even sure if that was true. We ended up walking a little over a mile to Smiths cove and it was perfect! Beautiful sights, picnic tables, clean bathroom and the beach was perfect! Wasn't crowded at all and had no people pushing you to buy things. The walk was also worth it and very beautiful.
We rented a cabana, the staff was friendly and was constantly checking on us to see if we needed anything. The beach was stunning and the water was crystal clear! My husband did snorkeling that and enjoyed it very much! They pet a sea turtle, many varieties of fish and a sting ray. The beach was pretty rocky so I would recommend bringing water shoes to go into the water. Overall very pretty!
We really enjoyed our Epic cruise and NCL. Even though you've decided it's not for you, it is nice to see a well written and fairly stated review. I will say that, in our opinion, Epic does something of a different 'vibe' than other NCL ships we've cruised on. If you find another itinerary you like, you might find the experience on other NCL ships to be a little different.
