Review summary

Well, let me start off with a little background on myself and cruising. I've taken a total of 34 cruises, of which 28 on Carnival Cruise Line, 5 on Royal Carribean Cruise Line and 1 on Disney Cruise line.

Let me tell you about my experience on the Norwegian Epic.

PROS:

Check-in good considering size of ship of over 4,000.

Debarking and Embarking at ports of call, organized and smooth

Food I really enjoyed, can eat anytime and whenever.

Sports bar and restraurats A+

Cabin Stewart A+

Blue man group

CONS:

The rooms were not ready on some of the decks when we boarded, so we had to wait  and drag  bags around in the atrium area until the rooms were ready (20 minutes) later. Ok, rooms ready, and what a let down. The rooms did not look anything like they do on the web site. I had a family delux balcony, which they said will  acommidate 4 people, NOT!  TO TO small, no room, you have to sit down on the bed in order for the person to pass by you. The shower and the toilet are the first thing you  see when you enter the room, which are not private, behind sliding fog glass doors on each side of the tiny room. You can actually roll out from the side of the bed and there you are on the toilet taking a dump. This would be quite awkward if  you were trying to impress the person you took on the  cruise, hearing you take a dump haha. Also, TG I didnot travel with my children, no closet space.  Now you pull back the curtian and wala. Bigger disappointment. The sink is the size of cooking pot and is situated right in the front of the bed inside your living space (no privacy).  No bathrobes  (HUH). The rooms  were a chief compliant I noticed from passengers whom I conversated with. Over-all the rooms, thumbs down. Be ready pictures on the site are very decieving.

Entertainment get rid of the second city comedy show, what you did say comedy, right? I did not see or hear anything funny.  Legends show thumbs up for Mic Jagger act, wow really good, the rest of the show blah. Elvis, I thought Elvis could dance this Elvis can't even bust a move and the last teenager act blah. I really miss music piped into the ship, that would have been nice to drown out the sixth deck casino slot machines,  wow, way to much emphasis on gambling. I miss the broadway shows and standup comedy

No, pool deck entertainment or dancing. Not much fun activity going on about the ship, which the ship sleeps at 11:00pm.

Let me cut this short and sweet, I perfer Carnival Cruise Line . It's truely the funship, nitely entertainment, stand-up comedy, music, dancing, Karaoke, room space etc,etc.......

Well, I wanted to experience Norwegian, was curious about the Epic. So, I can say been there and done that and won't do that again. Nor sleepy  Royal Carribean, they will nickle dime to to death.  I'll stay with  Carnival the funship, high enegy and fun, fun, fun :-)

I was dissapointed and would not recommend Norwegian. However everyone has different taste, but Norwegian is not for me. Bye happy Cruising.
