Review summary

The Epic has something for everyone. The rooms are small and awkward but if you take advantage of all the ship has to offer you spend very little time in your cabin. The shower, sink and bathrooms are very poorly designed.

The food in the free restaurants was mediocre. The specialty restaurants were good but pricey. $25 per person for Teppanyaki was more than we pay for hibachi at home! And the quality was the same.

Entertainment

Best entertainment on the sea. The Blue Man and Cirque shows were top notch. Nick Slime was perfect for families. The blues club was NY quality...excellent performers! The Legends were fun to watch. No cheesy Vegas wannabe shows. Real entertainment! The only disappointment was the dueling piano show. One of the singers was awful and they both made it difficult to sing along.

Very uncomfortable for two people who are not sharing a bed. There is less than a foot between the two beds. The sink splashes all over the counter. Lots of storage space! Beds are very comfortable.

xtrails was awesome! I can't remember the last time I had so much fun getting dirty (and I mean dirty). The cave was just okay but the muddy trail was great!

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

Costa Maya only exists for the cruise trade. It consists of a village created for tourists. The sand flies are vicious! We had the worst excursion ever on the dune buggies. They kept braking down, the beach was filthy and the drinks at the beach were watered down and over priced.
