Overall, we had a great trip and enjoyed it. I’m disappointed in NCL and may not cruise with them again, unless they improve service and entertainment.

Some confusion around the times but with online check in, boarding was fast.

Food and Dining

I’m a gluten free passenger and had mixed success. I was able to stay away from gluten but the main dining room left much to be desired. Each of the three nights we ate in the main dining rooms, the server asked about allergens and offered gf bread but only one night did it arrive. Another example is one night my only dessert options were ice cream or sorbet based. I didn’t want those so we went to the buffet and they had both a delicious brownie and Tiramisu! That makes no sense to me.

Entertainment

The daily entertainment was great but the head liners sold out the first day! Really? That’s not acceptable. They need more show times or options. We checked the first night and could not get seats.
Service and Staff

My complaint here is with NCL. Norwegian has decided to cut room service in half. I rarely saw my room steward and she made no attempt to get to know us or provide custom service. This is a huge loss. I missed my towel animals! Also, 2x I returned to cookies in my state room with no identification for gluten free as a registered gf guest, they should know. The first delivery was NOT gf and had I not called, could of ruined my trip. The second time, I still had to call, but they were gf. Over all poor room steward. The other service on the ship was very good. Shame on NCL for making this cut in room stewards.

Cabin / Stateroom

We had a Club Balcony Cabin promoted as a bigger bathroom and balcony. The bathroom was fantastic! Big shower and double vanity. The balcony was larger but doesn’t have any privacy from above. Would not book again
We went to Brewers Beach. Beautiful, relaxing. They have a small restaurant bar there, but on the beach service. It’s close though, not a problem for us.
I notice a lot of people complain about NCL charging extra for things. While they do have things that are not in the base fare, they are also things you don’t need and many guests don’t want to do. I’d much rather it be that way than pay for something I don’t care about. You can absolutely have a great cruise and not pay for any add-ons in the ship.
