Review summary

This was my first and last Norwegian cruise. First, we went to none of the ports we were scheduled to go to. , and I have been to Nassau and Ocho Rios many times before. Second, there are too many things on the ship that require extra money. Third, when we got re-routed to Nassau, most people stayed on the ship, because the only available excursions were walking tours, and Nassau is still under construction from the last 2 hurricanes, so it would have been tours of construction sites. The crew on board was unable to handle the amount of guests who stayed on board, so there were long waits for drinks, and the rides were mostly closed. Poor planning on their part. By day 5 we just wanted to get off of the ship.

The restaurants we ate in were nice. There are too many "Ala Carte" restaurants, so we were limited. Food overall was ok, not great, but not bad either. Staff were slow, and forgot our appetizers twice.

Onboard Activities

We chose this ship partly because of the go kart ride on the top. It was, of course, extra, and reservations were needed. We didn't know this until after all of the reservations were booked on the second day, so none of us got to go on the ride.

Entertainment

All of the shows needed reservations, or wait to see if someone doesn't show, and all of the reservations were booked before we departed Miami, so we didn't go to any shows.

Service and Staff

There were 3 that stood out and I left comment cards for them on the ship. The rest were OK. Most of the bartenders were slow and got snippy with the waiting guests.

The ship was clean. I wish there were more hot tubs.
