I was very pleased that we never felt like the crowds made for bad lines...and the Captain said there were more guests on this cruise that any other the Dawn has had! But you can get breakfast in the main dining room and its not a buffet - so it's sit down and be served - which is nice!

I think the buffet food was just as good as the dining food (if not better). The first night in the dining room there was lobster and steak, so I expected just as good dining the rest of the nights, but it wasn't. Stick to the buffet.

Don't miss the mid-night chocoholic buffet event, it is to die for.

Make it a point to hunt out Keith from Jamaica. He is very entertaining and a delight at the Garden Cafe for breakfast and Aqua at dinner.

pay the extra $119.00 for the use of the spa pool and hot tubs....it is worth millions when you see how many are shoved into the pool at the same time. Cagneys, Le Bistro & Medernio were Fantastic resteraunts....quality of the food was the same as what USED to be served on ships...now you have to pay extra to get it

Eating breakfast early at the Venetian was great. Much quieter, and you don't eat too much lol. Avoid booking excursions through the cruise line. Book your activities locally, support the local international economies!

The tables in Le Bistro are very close together on the Dawn. If you are looking for an intimate dining experience then I would avoid this ship's Le Bistro. The Le Bistro on the Jewel was set up better and a much larger room.

We didn't care for the dining room food or service, Try the specialty restaurants. The Garden Cafe was pretty good. Loved the Blue Lagoon for breakfast.

We loved the blue island cafe. Fast service, no line but yet a sit down meal that someone serves you.

Don't get the drink ticket if you are even a moderate drinker. We spent less than $500.00 on alcohol (we drank every day) and the drink tickets must be purchased for everyone in your room, so with taxes for 2 people a drink ticket is about $800.00.

After boarding and under way on your cruise, ask an officer (s) or someone of senior rank ( those with gold braded epaulets ) what life boat STATION and BOAT you are assigned to , go check out that station, then in case of an emergency you will have an idea of what direction to go in.
