We were on the 5/26 sailing on the NCL Dawn Boston to Bermuda. Check-in was easy and our cabin was ready when we arrived on the ship. We had an ocean view cabin and I found it to be on the small side, as well as the bathroom to be extremely small. I did love the lemongrass bar soap supplied! The food was good. There were several dishes that were served every night, and several nightly changes. By the end of the week we were basically tired of the same thing. Desserts were delish! We had eaten at the Venetian, Aqua, O'Sheehans, and the buffet. Entertainment was very good. I especially enjoyed the Karaoke in the Bliss Lounge. It was quite entertaining! The pool was small compared to those on other ships, however, there was an abundance of pool chairs available. Our cabin steward, Raymond, was excellent! The room was clean, always plenty of towels, ice, and the best towel animals! Service on the entire ship was outstanding! The one thing that I did not like on this ship was the layout. It was a little confusing and didn't seem to flow as nicely as other ships. Just my opinion... We enjoyed the cruise very much and would definitely do this cruise again.,

I was, admittedly, scared to death to get on a cruise ship but decided to face my fear and go on my very first EVER real vacation. WOW, I am so glad I did. What an amazing, amazing time. The Dawn has been recently updated and fully renovated and it came out beautifully. The entire staff were wonderfully polite and friendly and very hard working. The Captain was highly charming during his announcements. There was plenty of onboard activities to satisfy just about anything you might want to do. The best part was the comradery I came upon up on the 12th deck where the pool is located. They had live bands playing all day and most of the evening and the bands were really entertaining. Made loads of new friends onboard. I just cannot say enough good things about my entire experience. I honestly cannot pick a favorite time because it was all just fantastic. The rooms are a lot larger than they appear when you're checking them out online. There was plenty of storage space and closet areas for clothing for two of us. The food everywhere was amazing, I ate better and healthier onboard than I do at home.  Just cannot say enough good things about the entire experience. My ONLY complaints are: 1. dang, the elderly women riding their carts around were so danged mean and nasty for some reason. One tried to run me over, three were really complaining about having to walk behind us during boarding. I guess they were missing Bingo? But this has nothing to do with the staff or ship itself.  2. I really think they need to just STOP allowing anyone under the age of 21-years-old to drink whatsoever. The rules were 18-21 years old could drink WINE or BEER with parental consent. That was not happening, they were drinking quite a lot of hard liquor and of course, a good many of them got out of hand. 4 girls were 'arrested' on board for just being out of control and causing a ruckus, as well as trying to steal signs from around the ship. NCL might really want to crack down on underage drinking aboard for everyone's safety and enjoyment.  I cannot wait to go on another cruise!

Great ship and Bermuda was great. We ate in all the free places and never had any issue with food. The entertainment was fantastic and so were the games. If your bored on this ship then there is something wrong, we kept so busy all the time. The new photo gallery is cool. No more looking at pictures on the wall, it's all on computers now. We won the bid for the upgrade to balcony, not sure if it was worth it but it was fun once we docked in Bermuda and could see all the action outside.

Had a great time! Met some wonderful people! Was very happy that the only sports network they had, had hockey on almost every night! Celtics fans were obnoxious and abusive to the bar staff. They needed to chill; the bar staff has no control over what sports are on. This is not Buffalo Wild Wings! Had the meal package, enjoyed Tepanyaki, Los Lobos, Cagney's and Moderno. Guacamole at Los Lobos made right at table. Cruise director and staff were excellent! The ship's layout was a little odd, but only took a day or two to figure out which elevators went all the way down or up and which floors allowed passage from aft to forward, but this is typical of ships that have been "stretched". I took away one star because the bathroom was too small. The shower & sink area were fine, but the toilet had its own room and was way too cramped. I also could not stand up on my side of the bed because of the third bed on the wall, but the cabin itself had plenty of room and storage. Sailing out of Boston was convenient and beautiful, but I will probably not sail this category of Dawn because of the toilet area. But overall a great cruise!

Oh man where do i begin! This may be a long post but will be very informative. 

First thing,  if you suffer from even a slight bit of seasick, bring medication and lots of it. We left on Friday May 5th 2017. I was not aware of a storm until the captain informed us. We had to take a different route and oh man were we all sick. We hit 18ft plus waves, one of the stabalizers broke,  and that boat was a rockin and a rollin. Dont get me wrong, it was great that the captain didnt go straight through the storm. Harmony of the seas went straight through the storm and those passengers were NOT happy when i spoke to them in Bermuda. I am grateful that the captain kept us informed. Though i spent 3 days in my cabin vomitting and severe dizziness. Well, we were supposed to get to Bermuda on Sunday but due to the storm we arrived Monday which was fine. We departed Wednesday at 5am to come back to Boston. The weather back was absolutely perfect!! Barely any waves. It was like we werent even on a boat. Absolutely perfect. 

Ok now Cabin review. We were in an inside cabin on the 12th floor towards the front of the ship. BAD MOVE . You feel EVERYTHING. Again i was sooo sick. I couldn't sleep. I fell off the bed a few times. Again, no fault of the captain it was the storm. Room was somewhat roomy.  2 adults and 2 teens. Not too bad. Housekeeper was fantastic! Sooo nice. 

Buffet and restaurant review. I cant complain the food was great, the service was great. Great variety. Everyone so friendly especially at the pool area.

Casino review:  wooo whoo i won 650 bucks! Perfect! 

Entertainment: lots to do. The shows are great.  They have contests and bingo. Really a great time.

Overall: Great size ship. Not to many people. Lots to do. Food great.  Entertainment great. Just bring motion sickness pills and you should be good. And dont get any cabins in the front or very back. 

The food was good in dining rooms. The buffet needs to be changed up , it got very old having the same thing every morning for breakfast. The entertainment was very good, I prefer the stand up comedy vs improve. The magic show was great too.

If you are looking for great service, then look elsewhere. Servers were annoyed when we asked for straws and chocolate milk for our toddlers because they had to go to another deck to get it. At the Venetian, some guests were turned away because they had shorts on, but then others were allowed in with shorts even though the Daily Freestyle said that shorts were allowed. Have a question? Good luck finding someone who can answer your question. We were sent to so many different locations to find an answer to some questions. Concierge app was horrible. We paid extra to message and call each other while on board the ship. We did not get notifications or calls even if we were in the app. We were told that there were different access points and that we would have to close out of the app and reopen it to see messages and wouldn't get a call unless you stayed in one spot and kept your app open. Food was okay. It was not the best that I've had, but there are some restaurants that had some awesome food and desserts! Specifically the Aqua Dining room and Bamboo restaurant. Other than that, the kids did love the Kids Splash Academy and there were some fun activities. Anytime dining was also nice and I did like having the option of dressing up or dressing down. Would I go again? Only if there was a really good deal. There are better cruise lines out there.

Everything about this trip was great - From the Staff to the Food - We had a balcony room and woke up to the sun every morning.

Entertainment was very good - Islands we traveled to were good.

Did not like Columbia - Not much to do

Norwegian must be having financial issues. Almost no perks anymore and the on board activities were almost non existent. We met a lot of people that said the same thing. Even spoke with a number of crew members that agreed. The cruise director needs to be changed soon to save this ship said one crew member. The problems are just too numerous to mention. Worst cruise I've ever been on. Thank God for Patty & Joesph duet team to help pass the time. Pretty much nothing else to do that they weren't charging extra for. Even went to medical to have my blood sugar checked (too many frozen drinks). The told me I would first need a consultation at almost $150.00 then they could check my blood sugar level at additional cost...what! 30 seconds and $1.50 for the lancet and strip. We just laughed, shook our heads and walked out. I'll not bore you with all of the other issues, just want to be clear that we felt we wasted almost $4000.00 on this cruise and we absolutely love Caribbean cruises. Royal Caribbean next year...pretty much everyone we spoke to said that RCL was the best.

Ports were nice.  Columbia still developing but we took a nice excursion.  Puerto Rico immigration was long but I do not believe NCL could have improved on that.  Since the ship had been to the other ports and Puerto Rico means returning to the USA, we were detained hours for immigrations by CBP.  Really was the only hassle and let down we had but made the best of it and walked around old San Juan

Great cruise! The Norwegian Dawn just went through a refurbishment and it came out great. They did not have many specials with the drinks or specialty dining. Our balcony cabin was great but the balcony wasn't cleaned very often. The staff was great and our steward was very friendly. The food was also very good with special attention to the presentation detail.

Cruised for my husbands 50th birthday in April and had a great time. He couldn't have asked for a better birthday present. Service was great. Would recommend this ship

The Dawn is home to the Wine Cellars, my favorite spot on the ship! Ricardo and Diana run an excellent show in the wine bar complete with three different tastings available. I am always surprised how much I learn while attending - even though I just did this exact cruise three weeks prior. The onboard activities are so fun, complete with Canvas-By-U classes available. The crew knows you by name and because I was a solo traveler the attention I received was phenomenal. The Dawn is being replaced by the Pearl in my New Orleans port, but my heart will stay with the Dawn because of the incredible memories I created there. This is one ship that will capture your heart, book a cruise on it and regret nothing. All aboard!

Our first crusie and better then I could ever imagine .food and drink quality 1st class , staff friendly and helpful ,  was a amazing experience everything so well organised  thank you Norwegian will defiantly be cruising with you again 

This boat was a bit smaller not as much to offer as you're bigger boats the food was very good the crew were outstanding we had a wonderful time this was my first time on Norwegian and I will be going back again

Had a great cruise until the bill came. They charged us $55 for the Mini-Bar. I explained that we had the drink package, and that we were 100 feet away from the 24-hour Irish Pub, so why would we drink the expensive mini-bar booze. They basically called me a liar and charged me anyway. A sour ending to a great cruise. I did learn my lesson...if you aren't going to use the mini-bar, have Housekeeping remove everything in there until you leave. Document it too.

My family of 13 had the best time on our 7 day Western Caribbean Cruise!  The ports of call with excursions were a blast and there was always something fun to do on the ship!!  We will definitely book another cruise for our next vacation. 

We truly enjoyed our vacation!  We will definitely be cruising with Norwegian again!  We loved the freestyle dining and relaxed atmosphere.  Probably won't visit the wine bar or mojito bar in the future.  Waitresses and bartenders were a bit too stuffy.

We had a fantastic cruise and also spent a few days in New Orleans which nicely rounded out our trip. The Dawn had been recently refurbished. It was like being on a new ship. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Also the ships crew where extremely friendly. On the downside, the toilet room in our balcony room was tiny with a doorway that you could hardly squeeze through. The speciality restaurants have gone from charging a cover charge to a a la carte menu. This can make for a expensive meal. We will stay with the dinning rooms for future cruising where the food is free and equally good. The Belize stop turned out to be a island type location owned by NCL which was great for the kids and parents that enjoyed the beach and water activities but I wanted to see the real Belize.
