NCL provided air/transportation from Newark, NJ airport to port:
1. The transportation provider realized after several hours that they forgot about us and had to call and off duty driver to drive us to the port.
2. Upon arriving to the port we were notified that the longshoremen were gone for the day and we would have to handle our own luggage (3 pieces) from the bus thru processing up the on ramp onto the ship and finally to our cabin.
So on scale of 1 to 10(best) we would rate a 2.

Food and Dining

Food was average, okay and nothing special except our specialty dining at Cagney’s steak house which would rate a 10.
Onboard Activities

This was a cold temperature trip so no pool activities…we spent more time in our cabin than alternative on board activities.
Entertainment

The ‘Elements’ presentation was by far our favorite but the other entertainment was average.
Service and Staff

Room stewards and restaurant staff were above average.
Ship Quality

The Dawn was recently refurbished we thought but we had cabinet trim in our balcony cabin held together with double sided tape and it didn’t hold up. We heard more than a few guests complain about no heat and no hot water that lasted for several days but we were fortunate in that regard.
Our $500 tour to Paris was booked thru NCL but the guide was not in complete control on his time schedule and we missed valuable (to us) scheduled shopping time in Paris.
