Sadly, we feel this will be the last cruise on NCL Dawn..we want to try the newer ships like the Prima or Viva. This was not the relaxing, fun cruise we had anticipated. Although the cabin size is nice for the two of us..the main problem was our a/c didn't work and our cabin was so hot and steamy and def. not for the right reasons..we wanted to prop our cabin door open for air but staff told us we couldn't for security reasons. On the 6th day and after 4x trying to fix the a/c their solution was to close the outer cabin door to our extended lanai..it didn't help much. Sunday morning, the day we disembarked in Tampa, we woke to a cool room..finally..we have submitted with NCL and they need to call me back asap to make this right! It's been over 2 weeks post cruise and I am truly considering cancelling our next 2 cruises if they don't make this right.

We had our breakfasts and lunches in Moderno or Cagney's and specialty restaurants for dinner since Dawn does not have the Haven restaurant. We did not eat at the buffets.

The comedian was not funny for us..he made fun of people, elderly, Indian, black, etc. which is not our thing..NCL may need to evaluate complaints?

Our butler and room steward were excellent as always! Some of the main dining room staff seemed to be rushed and uncaring..brought food and disappeared..no refills on drinks, or care how your food is.

Ship tip
book newer ships and if not looking for crowds, maybe don't book the week of Easter and spring break lol
Good to get off the ship and walk but be prepared to be bombarded by shop workers and people trying to rub their lotions and potions on you..we walked about a half an hour until we'd had enough..went back to the ship and another pool day since our room was too hot still...
We have been here before and it is not walker friendly..basically walk to end of pier, a couple of shops and turn right back around and get back on the ship unless you have an excursion booked.
Although the beach and pool were wonderful, it is not fair of NCL to not allow cruisers to charge drinks and food to their room key as it's an NCL island..not fair NCL..you need to evaluate this!
