Cruise from Hell, I left the cruise sick and went straight to an ER where I tested positive for COVID

Review summary

Dawn it’s an old ship in need of some updating, it’s a small ship, and to some it may reminisce of long gone era of cruising, with its dark wood and overstuffed furniture, but as an overall experience, I don’t recommend it, there are much better ships out there. I guess the old saying goes, “ You get what pay for”

Embarkation was ok, testing for COVID-19 was a joke, and my husband suitcase didn’t make it to the cabin until way into the night. We were supposed to leave by 4pm, however we didn’t leave port until passed midnight and we were never told what was the delayed and every person we asked didn’t know or couldn’t understand English

We ate mainly at restaurants and buffet only for breakfast. Food was ok but nothing like I had experience before in other cruise lines. The buffet by the pool was disgusting, never changed every day the same tasteless hamburgers and hotdogs. The ice cream was the best thing. The drinks were very good every where we tried.

Ship tip

Don’t, unless you can afford a more update, bigger ship. NCL in my opinion, doesn’t compare to Royal Caribbean

Funny because NCL Dawn was just refurbished! NCL has wonderful ships (except the Epic) Royal is WAY to big for us! Sorry you didn't enjoy!!
