Review summary

Is was our getaway vacation after the difficult year we had. The weather didn't cooperate half way through the cruise, but on the cruise ship we still had fun. This was not our first cruise, so we knew what to expect. Some of the crew seem to be newly haired and still learning but they did ok. One complaint would be very slow service in the main dinning room. But by the end of the cruise they got a bit better. Also, even though they had a dress code for the main dining room it was not unforced. People were dressed very sloppy, wearing shorts, t-shirts and flip-flops that we wouldn't wear even to the garage sale. The wine steward Emilio was very polite and even though they didn't have variety of wines that were listed on their drink menu, Emilio did his very best to make the guests happy. The spa staff was also good and we had the best manicure in years from the highly professional manicurist Nasrin, who was also the sweetest person you can ever meet. The excursion staff was very organized and we got immediate refund for the excursions cancelled due to bad weather. We choose Norwegian shuttle service from and to the airport which we would highly recommend. To sum it all we'd say that we will remain loyal to NCL and

Nothing special to say, but no complains. The higher rank officers should be more friendly though, one time about five of them passed us without saying a word. The computer guy was helpful, but we have to wait to get to him the whole day.

Ship tip

We been to many NCL ships, and we prefer the size of Norwegian Dawn before the bigger ships like Epic and Getaway. The thing we like the best about Norwegian is the thermal spa with pools with gets ad Jacuzzi. We would suggest buying the spa package.

The weather was not so good, but the excursion was still fun. The guide name Ronald was very knowledgeable and kindly shared with us his love for his country even before the trip began.

We are going to be on the Dawn the end of Jan. Our cabin is 12515, just a couple doors down from yours, did you hear much noise from above or below?
