Review summary

The only thing that bothered me was at night, say 10:00 and going to sleep, was the noise of chairs being moved. It would be great if you could put something on the bottom of them. Also on the balcony of each room, that noise of moving tables and chairs !!!

We book by phone and have gotten some perks that way but, like everyone says, have done our deck plan homework before we call. We like to have at least one deck between our deck and anyplace people will be gathering. Cabins above, cabins below, not next to an elevator, away from the Splash Academy. Go in "smart" and you can get a room you'll be happy with. Haven't had a bad one yet!

Mini suites are below the pool deck and buffet. We did not book a !in I suite again for our upcoming cruise because of the noise of the tables and chairs. It was really loud even in the middle of the night.

Yes, don't ever book by phone. NCL will put you in the lousiest location EVERY TIME. Be sure to check out deck plans while you're booking.

Always a good idea to refer to deck plans when selecting your room....or did you let NCL choose for you??

Were you on the deck below the pool deck, did the sound just carry, or is it just balcony chairs? We're sailing on the Dawn in about a month. I don't remember hearing that on previous cruises, but it might depend on where your cabin is.
