Review summary

A good value for the price. Not particularly impressed with the service but the ports have plenty of activities and Harvest Caye is beautiful.

The rumor floating around was that there was an issue with U.S.Customs clearing the ship and didn't allow the crew back onboard until 10:45a.m. Everything was backed up and it took us 90 minutes to get to our stateroom.

Didn't try the specialty restaurants but the buffets and dining rooms were good. Very accommodating to our requests to sharing tables on this trip. Last January, on the same ship, the dining room hostesses discouraged sharing.

This cruise had a majority or senior citizens and seasoned cruisers. Onboard activites and music were geared for an older crowd.

Sent two written requests to the Hotel Manager regarding a stateroom question for an upcoming cruise. He never bothered to respond, even though there was a comment box specifically set up to contact him about any questions or concerns. The Cruise Next staff and Hotel Manager were extremely disappointing in their customer service responses.

Tried a guaranteed cabin this cruise. Ended up with cabin 10590. Excellent location and cabin steward.

Ship tip

If you are a Latitudes member, don't expect a letter inviting you to the members' cocktail party. You have to check with the Cruise Next office for time and location. Our party was held the first full day of the 10 day cruise and we missed it. We were told that there was an unusually high number of Latitudes members on board, so they broke the categories into two parties and didn't invite the lower tier level. No one received a personalized invitation. Cruise Next staff response, "so sorry". My thought, a great way to save money on alcohol and snacks by the cruise line. Not the quality of service I expected from NCL.

Great review! I look forward to cruising in 2 weeks! Concerned all reviews I’ve seen are about embarking and debarking were terrible. I hope that won’t be the case. I have an 11am flight back.
