ncl was one of my favorite cruise lines, been on dawn 3 times, jade 1 time, getaway 1 time, love the freestyle cruising..however after this trip they are no longer my 1st choice.. the food was not good at all in most venues.. I think ncl is trying to get everyone to pay extra for specialty dining.. everything on ship was very clean and well maintained as far as I could tell.. cabin was very comfortable.. embark and disembark was very bad.. over 2 hrs each.. service was good... over $3 for a pepsi and no coca cola products on board at all... and not allowed to bring one with you..

cleanliness was perfect... always cleaning something..ship design confusing if your 1st cruise on this ship. have to go to deck 7 to get to dining on deck 6..

porthole window..plenty of light..beds comfortable.. always clean..plenty of storage space for 2.. only a little noise like water running.. otherwise very quiet..
Ship tip
if you are not paying to eat in specialty dining, pack a lunch..(which you cant, they don't even allow a small bottle of water on board).. buffet cooked food always dried out.. salad was good.. food in general very disappointing.. my 3rd time on this ship and I will be choosing different cruise line on my next cruise
rented clam shell shelter for harvest caye for $29 for the day... it rained on our visit in the morning, glad we had some shelter. plenty of chairs and umbrellas at no additional charge.. very clean beach.
port was ok, however they made it very difficult to get back to your ship.. once you were to the road to cross over to go to ship, they directed you to the far back of mall to go back upstairs to a very long line.
had to be out of cabin by 9a... we were not allowed off ship before 12:15p..45 min of that time was waiting in a long line.. ncl said customs were to blame for the delay, and with todays times being what they are this is most likely the truth.. and we do all want to be safe..
Great review! I look forward to cruising in 2 weeks! All the reviews I’ve seen have terrible embarkation and debarkation. I’m sorry you couldn’t get off the ship until so late. I hope that doesn’t happen to me. I have a flight at 11am.
