Review summary

we were misinformed at the time of booking the cruise. We did not realize that smokers were allowed to smoke in public areas throughout the ship. A major disappointment for us and many other travellers who complained to the customer service desk during the cruise. Otherwise, the food and personnel were fine. We will not go back on a Norwegian cruise.

the smokers made it a two star cruise.

if someone is smoking, I need to move to a safe area because cigarette smoke makes me very sick and I have to get on antibiotics to heal from exposure to it. I think smoking areas should be few and strictly enforced!

Even though my husband and I are smokers we are very aware of people that may not smoke We always go to the designated areas and never smoke while in the casino if there was someone sitting next to us who does not smoke We have often spoken to people who were smoking in the wrong areas I do agree that some smokers feel they have their own rules......as do some drinkers This is how some people ope

I will comment that our only complaint about Norwegian is that they do not enforce the smoking areas. Unfortunately because smokers do not and will not help enforce other smokers, those of us who do not smoke will become more and more vocal. I have no issue with people smoking as long as they are respectful and this holds true for other policies as well. The rules are there in an attempt to make the trip enjoyable for all. It is those individuals who feel entitled and that the rules don't apply to them is where the issues start. Please thank your husband for his service, I have the utmost respect for those who have served!

You make it sound like all public areas allow smoking which is NOT true There are designated areas for smokers and it is plainly marked We have sailed 17 times with NCL and this has not been a problem We are smokers and we go to the designated areas Do your homework next time and maybe you will give them s better rating

They're supposed to get help and stop and quite making the rest of us sick. Our health should not be comproised by someone elses choice. That being said, I thank him for his service to our country and all of us that live here.

We went on the dawn last year had a blast.my husband is a Vietnam vet and smoker he has rights to you wa,t to be the smokers go to the other side of the ship the goverment are taking there rights away and they are the ones that got him hooked on cigs. what are they suppose to do
