Freestyle cruising means you get to pay to go to the nicer restaurants on board, Cagney's steak house can set you back $35/person if you want surf and turf and the food was no better than regular cruise food. They close some of the eating spots, i.e. ice cream bar, some buffets during times people were looking to eat. Bottles of wine were outrageously expensive, overall a big disappointment.

Pros: Tortola

Cons: Dominican Republic

Recommends Norwegian Dawn? No.

Ship Quality
The ship is nice enough with a decent layout, not a lot of on board activities that we were interested in.
Service and Staff
Food and Dining
So so food, Impressions Italian was the best. Cagney's was a huge disappointment.
Cabin / Stateroom
Staterooms were what you would expect, with very good housekeeping.
Great Stirrup Cay (Cruiseline Private Island), Bahamas
Ok snorkeling, usually buffet cook out food, Horrible Flies!!
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
Downtown very congested and crowded.
Road Town, Tortola, B.V.I.
Friendly people, good places to go, great beaches.
Cayo Levantado (Samana), Dominican Republic
Whale watching was great, lots and lots of street begging.
