Review summary

Good family cruise. Highly recommend. For groups of people, would recommend a designated meeting time and spot. We could not get the messaging to work. Its a really big ship to try and look for people. Go with an open mind. Do not let the bad reviews scare you off. Would do it again.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We ate in Taste, Savor, Teppanyaki, and the Garden Cafe buffet. Food was good. Service was good. The "show" in Teppanyaki was good, but the food there was rather average. Would not choose that one again. Choices in the buffet were very good. Really enjoyed the crepe station too.

Hours too few. 12-4 pm. Never could get a seat. Need to expand their hours.

We are older, and did not participate in the activities. Would have enjoyed the pool, but very crowded and loud. Difficult to converse.

Entertainment

Absolutely LOVED Broadway Series, 80's Edition. Wished that they had other offerings during the week. Really enjoyed Burn the Floor. One of the things that I was looking forward to when we booked was the musical SIX. Unfortunately, they no longer have this show. They replaced it with Deal or No Deal. That was NO DEAL for me. Need to bring back the live theater productions. Entertainment in the Atrium was so loud, you could not understand the lyrics.

Service and Staff

Top notch! Everyone friendly and eager to please. Room steward was awesome.

Ship Quality

Everything was clean. Yes, the carpet and wall coverings are a little old, but very well maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
We booked an inside cabin because we were paying for 3 cabins. Will never book an inside again. Not due to any issues of the room itself, but with our elderly frames, it was difficult for me to maneuver around/under the top berth to get into bed. We had the beds pushed together.

Ship tip

Buy all the photos that you might want. After you get off, they are no longer available.

Disappointed in the Drake's Seat to Megen's Bay excursion. Very limited time at Drake's seat. Thought we were going to get to see more than we did. Rained really hard.

Easy peasy. Got in line, and walked right through customs. Only stop was for facial recognition. No passport check. No customs declaration.
